Were the grey quakewaves ever numbered? I keep hearing only 350 but how was that verified?

I hope Fanstoys will want to sell us a new Shockwave design.
He's one of the big names and really needs a modern MP.

Fans Toys fans can't accept Quakeblast knocked it out of the park.

The Takara version looks like his little brother.

This topic, made me bring back my old signature.

Oddly, this is the one figure I never got but bought off of eBay 4 different times and got scammed. I got my money back but I never got a Quakewave. Always felt cheated. Really beautiful figure and from everything I have seen well built and widely praised. I had it on order the last time when my MP Shockwave came through at a heavy discount. The Quakewave never came and stuck with the TT MP.

Quakeblast is awesome unless you are looking for a version that resembles the G1 cartoon.

Quakewave definitely exudes loyal subordinate, while Quakeblast evokes the more menacing Marvel/Dreamwave/IDW representions.

All the different MP Shockwaves are stellar in their interpretations of the character.

Still think quality wise Quakewave is better, but I wish he looked more like Quakeblast -- save for the colours, because the first version of QW has an excellent shade of purple.

From the start I've disliked QW's blocky legs and tiny chest, and the feet are likewise just wrong. And those were all things that could've easily done right, as proven by QB. But when I pick the two of them up, QW just feels so much better. And I have no hesitation about transforming QW, but the one time I transformed QB it felt like it could break at any moment at different parts. And it still does when posing it.

Late to the party and bought the reissue of Quakewave. Should be coming in next week. I was wondering if anyone was still selling the feet upgrade kit for this guy? Cant seem to find it anywhere.

Hafiz Zul on facebook is the person that makes them. Ppl in the US usually do group buys for his products because he lives in a different country. Send Hafiz a message and he can link you up with someone who is expecting an order and maybe you can get the upgraded feet added to that shipment. I think they're like 10 bucks or something. I've ordered plenty from him and they are very good quality pieces.

I totally disagree. While Quakewave is probably great, he doesn’t look G1 at all. I feel like it’s possibly FT’s biggest miss to me. The Takara MP looks way more G1 to my eye, though maybe he could be a tad bigger.

I would *LOVE* FT to do a new attempt at Shockwave and Reflector.

Thanks for the info. Sucks one has to kinda jump through hoops to get a set, but I'll see what I can do.

Takara Shockwave is only good for cartoon purists...but he's puny. And those feet make him very feminine.

The shoes that somebody sells for him, do help a lot.

But even still, it feels like a cheap plastic toy.

Top half at least looks like the cartoon....but still too small.

That said, sadly, he's still the best cartoon choice for now.

Quakeblast however, is just how I think Shockwave should look...and feel.

Even with Decepticon logos on the side of his arms.

    "His is more powerful."

Fanstoys would probably knock a new Shockwave out of the park right now.
A new Reflector could be nice too, since X-transbots had the more toon accurate option.
Would like a toy option from Fanstoys if they design a new Reflector.

But I am definitely in the market for a new G1 MP Shockwave.
Neither quackewave or quackeblast fits in a modern MP collection and Laserwave+ is unobtainable and lacking.

Honestly, to me it’s the legs that stand out to me the most on why Quakewave doesn’t work for me, and it’s why I prefer my Takara MP. I guess I was told Quakewave was based on a comic book design (I think IDW), but that’s not something I’ve read and not a look I’m going for. And honestly I’m actually not a guy who normally wants a hardcore toon look, but for some reason I’m particular with Shockwave. I’m guessing that’s because you can’t do a realistic version of a space laser gun, while a realistic Porsche 935 with Martini Rossi livery is epic to me (I’ve got Jive X on the brain).

I’m sure Quakewave is great, but it just doesn’t look G1 to me. Perhaps if I read the IDW comics I’d be a lot more forgiving.

Idk. I can live with this if noone ever decides to give us an updated and better Shockwave.

Quakewave remains the best MP option and I honestly still like him a lot.

Right on, that’s what matters. We all have different opinions on these things and if you’re happy, that’s what counts!

You're in luck man! I'm about to do a group buy to the US for a bunch of Hafiz stuff in March. Even if you're not in the US, we can work something out. Shoot me a PM.
