I preordered through Aces toy store a few weeks back. I emailed them last week with a question and haven't had a reply. I emailed both the store and PayPal email address, I assume the Paypal address is the store owner. I preordered as a "guest". Has anyone felt with aces before and how was your experience?

 

Ok I checked my account and they basically did what I asked them to but I never got an email... Oh well the end result is the same.

 

So do we know if CP is closing preorders tonight or like right before May 1st hits tomorrow?

I'm getting dangerously close to just ordering from him anyways and dealing with having two, assuming Uncle Billy's gets here safe and sound at some point. I suppose Quake will be pretty easy to sell for cost or trade.

 

If you got it from me, the hands were simply sent to everyone who bought from the first wave, as promised. Any repair or replacement parts were sent separately.

Just like before, I'm not necessarily closing them on a given date - I just can't increase the order after the end of the month. so whatever I place is potentially all I will get unless they have extra to give later, and there's no guarantee I'll get any more than the number people have already ordered if they have had large orders for it.

I had purchased from Age Three and Up, and got a while back, and they included the extra hands for free, and responded to my questions.

 

Any word on a Shack Wave colored version? My blan was to get a gry Quake Wave and a Masterpiece Has/Tak Shockwave if/when he comes out. hose far my plan has failed on both accounts.

I don't believe it's going to happen. The poll results weren't very strong in favor of it so it doesn't look like the interest is really there in the needed numbers from Fans Toys' POV.

However - I did suggest that they might consider handling the voyager scale version that will come down the line eventually in a way that would make that possible. Basically, I noted that they might make the voyager version the "G1 toy purple" color, and do a variant or two to create a Shackwave/Astro Magnum/Longarm version and maybe one the same color as the MP-scale one.

That would allow people who prefer that color to have it, without creating any major sense of sour grapes for owners of the original-size version. It would also allow them to create all two/three versions in one scale for those who would be bothered by the mismatch in size, and it would likely increase the chance of people buying more than one version due to the lower cost per figure, making it more financially feasible to do the different versions.

 

Do you think this will third run be the final run of MP Quakewave?

I really can't wait to see the Voyager scale version of this guy. I love the MP version, but those don't fit my Classics collection, whereas the smaller one would be pretty perfect.

Quakewave has arrived from Uncle Billy! Packaging was seemingly meager but robust so box is in good shape. Heard rattling insde which was the card and the tip of the gun barrel sliding around in the world's worst clamshell lol. Seriously it wasn't even pegged in, just loosely Held together by a few pieces of skinny tape. Legs were collapsed up, head was spun backwards, but upon first examination, no flaws in the figure itself so far as I can tell, tho I won't have a chance to mess with him until later tonight.
