I read this and I think "Damn, no Powermaster Prime"... The fact that the G3 trailer can interact with the CC trailer still gives me hope, though.

Hot damn the RP upgrade is gonna be amazing...

I won't have my Henkei Rodimus until Thursday, but here's a quick, hopefully approximate, size comparison. I still can't figure out where the arms go. Looks like it'll put him on par, if not a little taller, with Classics Prime.

What I want to know is what happens to the lower arms of him in the big mode. I took him out and transformed him to what I thought would be the form to add things on and the lower arms is a big question for me.

 

Maybe you move the piece where the 'wings' attach to (and where you can, ordinarily, attach the engine-gun) perpendicular (or, perhaps, at a 45 degree angle) to the hood, then shift each of the 'wings' so as to keep them parallel to the main body?

Then you could leave the lower arms closed in, and not have them rubbing against the 'wings' or whatever you call them.

 

Think I figured it out where the arms go. Rotate the arms /shoulders 90 degrees so they become the IDW-style shoulder pads, then it looks like new arms attatch to the wheels on the shoulders.

 

Oh by the way, the parts I outlined and highlighted can remain intact, as far as I can tell.

 

An easier way to design it is to use the "battle" mode where you fold the spoiler over the top of the roof like you would during normal TF and then have the trailer hitch in above the spoiler into the gun port.

I doubt that. Its going to be similar to City Commander in that its an add on.

 

I gonna venture a guess and say the new Armor will "integrate" with his "trailer" thus still being Rodimus.

hmmmm I wonder if the trailer will attach where his flame thrower/engine does now?

 

Someone REALLY needs to suggest a Firebolt to go with Rodimus.......

 

As for the trailer, I don't really care who have this idea first or who disclose their work first, I just want the best! So far, I haven't made my decision....still waiting to see what's inside the G3 trailer. Aside from this, I've been waiting for the matrix and minimegs for months....anyone have any idea when I'll be able to get these~?!

 

As someone who passed on the City Commander armor due to the sculpt that I felt really didn't match with the existing Henkei/Classics "feel," I have to say that the teaser for the Rodimus armor really has me excited. Assuming there's a new head sculpt that's closer to the existing look of the Classics line, put me on the list for preordering.

And I was actually surprised at the price someone quoted earlier... I expected it to be much higher than fifty bucks, but if it's even less than that, sign me up for two!

Maybe they'll make a Classics AND a Henkei version... chrome taillights on the Henkei, natch.

 

I thought that, but that obscures most of the windshield, which you can tell that it doesn't. It's the new chestplate providing the orange there in the blurred pics.

As for transforming with the armor still attached, mostly not. Looks like the boots stick, though.

 

I think you could pretty much have a Firebolt by detaching Nightstick's main barrel & painting him black.

I really like this, but my only concern is that Classics Hot Rod isn't very poseable without any bulky armour attached, so I dream to think how it would further impede his range of movement.

But at least it would be G1 accurate. Haha.

 

Many people are saying this, but... why? Rodimus was never a Targetmaster. Is is just to get a Firebolt to use with Hot Rod?
