Maybe. It’s a bit inaccurate but it could work.
I hope that's not the final design, to much of the altmode is sacrificed for the big chunky robot mode.
Nope, they took it back to the drawing board and we haven't heard from them since
...no moreso than thunderclash from super ginrai, really...
that reminds me why is it Fans-Hobby have issues with feet? I remember the initial designs for their version of PMOP having to go back to the drawingboard to better integrate the feet
I dont really know a ton about Thunderclash beyond his original toy, i know he got some love in the comics but ive never seen him combine with his trailer before is this something that happens in the comics? While the idea isnt super common i still like this idea of a retool, no matter how strange. More interesting than a Nemeis, Shattered Glass, and any other easy prime re-color.
Jeepers now THATS some mass shifting feet right there. While i dont know a ton about the character, i think any third party Motormaster would make for a great Hyperdrive retool
Ive personally been more of a fan of the Thunder Manus from Maketoys, but Power Baser is for sure more of an MP mold, scales well with their overlord (who i dream of adding to my collection one day) Either way Powermaster Prime into a Thunderclash is just a strange choice.
I\'m curious about the inner bot. I would think thunderclash would be the inner bot with Turbo Master being the big bot.
No this is FH's original interpretation. They've taken visual elements of the og toy and the idw character and simply layered them on to the existing structure of their super ginrai. Neither the og toy or the idw character merge with their own trailer officially. Well the IDW "kind of" does but that's more a Rodimus situation where the mass of his alt just magically shrinks away.
So this toy is more just a fun retool project for FH it seems, they'll save some significant tooling cost by reusing their ginrai and this niche later era g1 character won't need to sell as many copies that way for this project of theirs to be deemed successful.
Could be way down for the core robot, and then the trailer would be a fun bonus! The MMC one was too small.
I would get this if the smaller cab bot has a face exactly like the one pictured on the original Machine Wars box... which is more Optimus Prime in appearance.
Then in the combined mode, he has the proper comic Thunderclash face as we now see with the prototype.
That would be great IMO.
Otherwise it'll be a pass for me.
Ah I see. I was more into the slim athletic super soldier vibe anyway. Just as long as he has a lot of guns and tones of fun to be had with them.
I guess so yeah.
Do this in Machine Wars Optimus Prime colors and I will move Heaven and Earth to own one.
I'm actually keen to get a better look at this as Machine Wars Optimus Prime was my first ever transformer i might just have to pick up Thunder Clash
I love Thunderclash and I LOVE FansHobby but this just looks like Power Baser wearing a cheap Thunderclash Halloween costume. Hopefully the final product will be better.
Goddamn, that is hilariously bad and they should feel bad for trying to spin it as Thunderclash.
I think this doesn't look bad. I am casually interested, but I don't really want an MP Thunderclash. I have the MMC one (which is heaven compared to this mold transformation-wise) and while it's great, the headsculpt doesn't speak Thunderclash to me so I am still in the market for a Thunderclash.
Honestly, I wouldn't expect them to get back to it at this point. Between this, their Armada Prime & co and the Headmaster juniors, they've got their hands full (for atleast another two, maybe even three years).
That could be neat.
Looks sweet to me
