After the Beast era and R.I.D. 2001, it was almost shocking when the original toy didn't.

I'll be honest though, I didn't mind it much. I mean Armada had gimmicks out the wazoo. Mini-Con capture claws, huge missile launchers that opened up or flipped out of nowhere, hidden guns that required Powerlink activation, just tons of fun stuff. And to think how much you got for just $10-20 USD compared to today, it was just a great value for the target audience. I mean, of course as an older collector I want an articulated high-end version, but I can appreciate the original very much too.

While I never owned the original, as I was a baby when the series aired, I always admired the figure's engineering when I was growing up. The only megatron I owned from the unicron trilogy was the voyager version of energon megatron, which I played with extensively. I very much enjoyed UT's play features, with cybertron being my favourite because I technically grew up with that cartoon. I want to get in on this line of figures from fanshobby but I can't bring myself to do it due to the knowledge that the line might begin and end with the 2 leaders and their combining partners. I just might get energon optimus though since I got the original one for my birthday and a lot of nostalgia is attached to that particular show and design

Judging by the joints on the torso he looks like he could have butterfly joints and an ab crunch as well.

Not only do I hope we get a Megazarak version of this, but if we get a Spacewarp from Jetfire? I'd be eternally happy. Add in a Grand Scourge version fo the upcoming Energon Prime for maximum obscure Decepticon-age

Mind still haven't picked up Armada Prime yet, though I do need to once the fixed ones get out there

Honestly, this is such a big thing for me. I don't know why, probably because it's part of the biggest moment of the show when MegaGalvatron sacrifices himself and literally uses that hidden knife in his hand to cut Optimus' hand, forcing him to let Megatron fall into Unicron.

A big ol' Energon Scorponok would be so good.

Most ominous, some black sections, maybe some red or purple details, and it could be a stealth or Darkness version
