How were you communicating with them? If you don’t mind me asking. I know they asked for an email address but I’ve not seen anything yet, just that they would be shipping out in the next 7-10 days.

Pretty interested in this, but defiantly going to wait on people who buy the second release before committing. I am very hopeful this thread eventually turns from people reporting cracks and failures to just how awesome the figure is.

    Oh no problem at all!
I’ve been solely communicating with them via their Facebook page.

They haven’t sent me any tracking information themselves.
Since I have FedEx Informed Delivery, it notifies me when a tracking number is associated with my home address.

It also shows the digital label and it has “FansHobby” as the sender.

I'd be surprised if they actually release another Armada figure after this shit show.

The weak plastic isn't Armadas fault. These primes sold like hotcakes, too :)

This is just so outside the norm from FH. I’m watching the second run closely but I can’t believe they put something out that’s riddled with this many problems. It’s like they ordered the same decomposing plastic that Takara used for MP Hound. I’m really curious about how something like that can happen. We theorize that the figure was rushed for CNY but I don’t know if indifferent factory workers are the culprit for such bad plastic. Is there some change in how plastics are made or composed that is causing this to sporadically happen?

I’m really rooting for them to sort it out. I’m a big fan of theirs.

I hope this entire mess, necessity to basically replace the entire 1st batch, people returning pre-orders etc won't ruin them financially. Those are small companies after all :(

This is what I’m most worried about tbh, but then again I don’t really think that Fans Hobby would be going to the lengths they are to fix the problems if they had to watch their finances. They’ve got other figures coming down the line too that are likely to make money such as their Power Baser take on the fire guts convoy or whatever that powermaster prime thing is.

I just hope that we get a full line. I would LOVE it. Either Fans Hobby or MMC honestly.

Well I think the CNY theory holds up seeing how other products came out around the same time with similar issues, as well how outside of Transformers it is known that rushing for CNY lowers the quality of product and figures that they were making at the same time didn't have this issue. And seeing as how the only thing we've heard about the replacement parts that will be used in the second batch are that their FH's standard of solid it should be fine.
I'm sure if they couldn't do it due to financial reasons then they wouldn't, as seeing that this is (what I believe) to be the first time this has happened for them on the 15th figure not counting repaints/retools they were either preparing for something like this or are luckely in a position where this happening doesn't ruin them.

So moral of the story, Thank the Gods they don't have Maketoys financial skills.

A disaster of this scale certainly would have ruined lesser companies, but it seems like Fans Hobby are pulling though.

I hope the cost of all these replacement parts doesn't kill them. Fans Hobby is one of my favorite 3rd party companies.

Hope they can turn it around. Would like to pick this guy up if they can fix all the issues.

So just a heads up to those of you that haven’t attempted to swap the head fins or place the batteries in Naval Commander’s head, be very careful trying to take the screw out that holds it to the plate. Mine was so tightly packed it ended up stripping out. After several attempts of different removals, I had to dremel a notch for a flathead screwdriver to get in there a take it out. Luckily I had some extra screws from ShowZ trying to half ass an issue with a Xtb product. A load of BS to be sure.
