I would rather have a brand new figure than trying to fix this one and hoping it won't break anymore.

Good grief I didn’t even notice this. I’ve barely manipulated them besides putting them back into the legs when going to other modes from super mode.

Need to check my other two copies now too and see if they’re any different and let FH know.

The hands are on a single screw I can’t imagine it’d be too much trouble, although I haven’t actually unscrewed them yet to see if that’s the case.

They did get back to me and sent the same images. Hopefully no other issues arise in the meantime but for now mine is holding up well. And I count myself as lucky since only 3 of my fingers are (so far) showing cracks

I opened my third copy and the index finger on the left hand was cracked and loose in the leg cavity sadly, but Fanshobby are sending me 3 lots of spare parts for each copy so very happy about that.

I also ordered a second run to support them, as I can sell on two fixed copies if I have to. Keeping one boxed for display.

They also had this to say..

I think keeping the Naval part for their Armada figures works well, and a good name in my opinion for their Megatron is Naval Tyrant. Flows off the tongue like Naval Commander.

I really hope MB-19 is Armada Starscream like I suggested, as I came up with MB-19 Naval Comet. Kinda like that one too.

What other names for other Armada characters would work if they kept the Naval part?

*EDIT* Just to clarify, the ones I sell will not be scalped. RRP in GBP. Everyone should nip that stuff in the bud.

Some people's have cracked most likely due to trying to extend the legs for combined mode. I think some have said they were really tight.

Regular Retail Price in Great British Pounds.

Cracks, although they all seem to be incredibly faint.

The legs on all 3 copies of mine have actually be mostly okay, not too tight or too loose although I’ve never extended by holding the waist and even mine has the cracks. I think best practice is to extended them by holding onto the thigh rather than the waist. Might prolong the plastic.

Good on FH for being supportive and trying to appease everyone who has bought the first one. I hope they extensively tested this new batch of parts. Going forward, I hope they learned a lot from this project.

Theoretically, they haven’t even put these parts into full production yet so I can’t see them having done so. On the other hand, I don’t think it’s the actual design, but more likely the plastic being crap. If this new batch has better quality plastic I think it will be fine.

Sounds like there was an issue with the plastic mix that they identified, so they are basically replacing anything that used that plastic.

And the pin issue being resolved as that's there most of the issues were, from what I've gathered. I don't recall where the waist/thigh issues were though so I can't comment on that

Well let’s hope so, and I definitely think that the waist is most likely a result of stress of pulling the legs for super mode. Then again all 3 copies of mine were cracked to varying degrees out of the box before I’d even removed the protective plastic

I wonder if this is related to the XTB issues with Locke (and some of their previous)? February they issued a statement about a factory which had screwed up their QC, and I recall hearing something about it having dodgy plastic as well (though that could have been someone else). Could well be that FH had that same factory (or another tied up with them) make the core robot.

That’s actually a good point, I’d imagine these companies fight over factory space close to holidays and especially CNY. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case. We know that multiple companies share factories to varying degrees of QC lucky draw.
