Maybe try a low heat setting with a hairdryer on the screw and hole for a couple of minutes and see if it releases the tension?

Yeah mine shipped with fedex and is stuck in New Mexico due to the bad weather. The wait is killing me.
And for those with small cracks, have you guys tried using a thin line of super glue on it? I had a cracked hinge on a tobot figure and it seemed to do the trick for me

MIGHT try this as a last resort, but also thinking it’d be smart to punch the pins as that could backfire very badly.

I think if this were to be done, in theory I’d personally would use and recommend a brush tip super glue rather than an applicator tip

I just dabbed the end of a toothpick in it and applied it that way. I'm honestly willing to try anything to keep it functional at this point. I have a feeling sitting in a freezing fedex depot isn't gonna bode too well for poor Prime's plastic, but i'm being cautiously optimistic

I was being extra careful especially after seeing Peaugh's review. The chest plate was cracked right out of the box. It completely sheared off when I moved it back into place when combining it into super mode. :(  I know FH is going to be correcting this, but it still sucks especially after the 2 year wait for this figure.

Fingers crossed they turn out alright, and I can’t imagine they’d be arctic temperatures in those warehouses. Very cold for sure but not bad enough to cause incredible damage. It’s the hot weather you want to be wary of, that is not kind to plastic or rubber wheels AT ALL.

Gave this a go and it’s actually melted some of the plastic out of shape, cracked the hinges too.
So I’m desperately hoping there’s a whole cab replacement now!

Sorry to hear that happened, I’ve tried it before on other figures with reasonable success and thought I’d suggest it.

    Ebay:
Transformed the core robot, and put the trailer in base mode. Have not done combined mode. Noticed more cracks, on both hinges that open the roof for combined mode and on the shoulders near where they tab in for truck mode. I'm starting to think that the problem isn't the pins- the red plastic isn't the best.

The trailer is solid, though. The hinges where @Kuma Style and someone else broke are scary tight, and I could see how they could be broken. I held the skirts close to the joint when I manipulated it, though, and it seems ok so far.

    Will try combining later tonight.

Good news for anyone purchasing him from ShowZStore - they're trying to get the 2nd batch right away to avoid this qc nightmare...

Not sure how Kuma transformed his but I noticed that in order to move the rear skirts you have to pull them out of the sliding joint first to unlock the swivel joint. it’s possible he didn’t pull them out far enough because before I figured that out I felt like I was going to break that part.

    That
    That’s awesome news!
I’m going to perform delicate crack repair during the next few days on mine. So far I’ve gotten cracks on all common areas but they definitely look salvageable.

Damn it's really weird to see these kinds of problems on a FansHobby figure. They're usually some of the sturdiest chunks of plastic on the market

    Could be worse.
Imagine if it was closer to what happened to MP Hound.
At least it doesn't disintegrate on you.

Oh yeah this guy is still a great figure, I'm just surprised that unlike past FH releases, he doesn't feel like you could hit it with a mallet and he'd be fine.

I never had an MP Hound and don't want one, but how bad was it?
