Better. Torso still looks wrong to me though, at least for what I'm looking for. But it's up to a maybe.

I feel somewhat weird criticizing this thing, because I get the feeling it's not being made for me, like maybe it's trying to appeal to fans of the Japanese cartoon, which I haven't seen. (I have no idea who Minerva even is, hence the original version of the mold not interesting me.) So it's possible the stuff that doesn't work for me works for them? I also don't know why people keep mentioning female Nightbeat.

Back in G1 the two shared a mold, Minerva in Japan, Nightbeat in America.

A female Nightbeat would just be for nothing more than fun and variety. Plus it creates a new character (or at least new version of one). Like how the "Wheel Blade" version of this mold could be viewed as adding Windblade into the Binaltech/Alternators-verse.

It appears once in a legends manga, with the headmaster junior having a look alike in the legends world,, with fake minerva taking on a nightbeat colorscheme

Note though, I dont recall a transector being mentioned. Might be wrong tho

There we go, an actual attempt to look like nightbeat. Consider me interested.

Assuming TFwiki is on the ball:
Minerva Night Beat (literally the Nightbeat toy) is official. She was a mail order launched the same year as her main colors in Japan and male Nightbeat elsewhere. @Digger already showed off the Night Beat variant of Minerva's figma style toy. So it's all perfectly valid, if obscure (which is catnip to TF fans).

I just really like that toy accuracy was hazy enough back then that both characters were born from the same mold. It's something we're never going to have again.

new pics make it a maybe. glad they are making some more changes. those are just 3d printed parts though so it'll likely be a while before we see a finished product. maybe they should paint one of these up in the complete deco to help sell the guy. haha. also looking forward to the RX7 mold too.

Ooooh. I like the sound of that!
If we all collectively, not aggressively, mentioned it across social media I’m sure they’d listen.

Well, they're going through the trouble of all this new tooling. It'd be a pity not to recoup with all the options they could. Doesn't have to be big runs.

Looking nice. Although I assume he still has some grey parts because those parts are more recently designed. But the face and visor is good.

Also no light bar! How nice.

Wait... no.. why is the visor RED?! Marvel is orange, IDW is blue. They must have used that Dreamwave pic as a reference.... UGH... Hopefully they’ll fix they. It could be a dealbreaker for me...

They did, but Nightbeat's eyes in Dreamwave were also blue from what I remember.
Meanwhile his eye's were red in both Regeneration one and sometimes in IDW. Although unlike IDW Optimus going from yellow to blue eyes it seems to be that he had red and changed them to blue.
