So Nite Walker is my first Fans Hobby piece--as well as my second Transformer purchase of 2021 after the MMC Mnemo/Motif 2-pack (been a light year, and I'm basically just waiting for the Ocular Max Defensor to start rolling)--and I have to say he does not disappoint! Is he a perfect G1 representation of Nightbeat? No, of course not. But as someone who was getting away from Transformers around the time these guys popped up (Nightbeat and Weirdwolf being my only two Headmasters and Powermaster Optimus Prime being my only...er, Powermaster), he definitely scratches the itch pretty well for me.

Nite Walker is a deviation from my usual TF buying habits, so all-in-all I am happy with my purchase. Totally understand how others will wait for something more accurate, but as for me? I'm desperately trying to talk myself out of ordering Kap, Ace Hitter, Athena, and the Power Baser/God Armor reissues!

I recall a couple years or so back that Fans Hobby teased Roadbuster, which I would buy in a heartbeat. Here's hoping they get back around to him eventually, but for now: welcome to the family, Nite Walker! Now to solve the mystery of which shelf to display him on...

i didn't know you could take the back part off for robot mode ....so with that just ordred one   will do until or if anyone else makes nighbeat

 

That arms though. FH should have made it bigger than Minerva's. Also a retractable legs to be a bit taller than Minerva.
Still, a good MP representation of Nightbeat.
Oh well, preordered.

Had to snap a picture with Fanstoys Hot Rod... I had just installed the shoulder upgrade kit for Hoodlum... Loving the result! IMHO the QC on Nightbeat is much better than on their Minerva... With the new parts everything's hold together in car mode WAY better.

Still contemplating whether or not I can live with the changes made to how Nightbeat should look.

Good to see that an idea I had and @sodawilly apparently as well, rotating the shoulder pylons, does make him look more like Nightbeat. Still the lower legs look wrong. Maybe silver racing stripes would work?

Nice! I was literally thinking just early this week that I should pull my old FF Thing figure out of storage and give Nitewalker his trench-coat. This may have pushed me over the edge.  

 

I love it, how do you get it on him with those shoulder pods?

 

No idea unless they put on the coat before assembling the shoulder pieces if they don't come off. It's from Fan Hobby's social media.

You would have to pop the shoulder pods off the ball joints. I actually did this with mine, and used the coat from the NECA TMNT Disguise Raphael, but I didn't post the pics because the coat was too big and didn't look good.

 

I think the collar is covering a split in the top of the coat, possibly the whole thing splits around the back so you can get it on the figure.

Honestly this is the first release from Fans Hobby I've purchased that I was disappointed with. This would go a long way to redeeming it, although I do kinda wish they just do a repaint of the Siren mould.
