Here’s how you can fix the head problem permanently and without slathering Minerva in lube.

See those nubs on the left and right in the socket? Those catch on the underside of the little headmaster head and are what prevents it from pulling out.

Cut one or both off with an Xacto.
I removed the right side entirely and left a little of the left side.

The fit is perfect now. I feel like I could cut both off entirely and it would still fit great, but I wanted it to still be a little tight to compensate for the wear over time of placing and removing the head.

I like the toy but it just feels like an A+ student who slacked for an exam and slid by for an easy C.

All the right stuff is there but like you said quite a few tolerances are just not up to par with their usual work.

but I like my female bots nice and lubed up...

    :confused2

just don't use vaseline that shit gets everywhere :lol

ok so worked on mine for about a half hour. if you get a mediocre copy that's about what you will spend to make her awesome.

    1) I would just suggest anyone getting this figure pre-lube that head slot with shock oil just to avoid any type of breakage. that ball peg is small and could potentially break. if you take 5 seconds to oil that gap you never have to worry about it again.

    2) will need just 1 light coat of your choice of floor polish, nail polish, super glue, etc on the thigh ball pegs if yours are floppy. did just one coat on mine and super tight now.

    3) back doors into the calves not staying pegged in - put one light coat (again coating of your choice) onto the peg and gap that the doors slot into. mine are perfect now.

got her all stickered up along with the fixes and I am very happy now for the cost of entry. if you get her just be willing to put in a small bit of work.

I just MacGyver'd mine and used my pocket knife to pop the head out and then cut down the tabs like Rewind did. It's a little concerning that I'm having to do this to a $60+ toy where the retail ones seem to have had it figured out, but it works now so whatever I guess? XD

Got her in a couple days ago, got the stickers on and transformed. I really like this one. Good scale, simple fun transformation, and she looks great. Great price too. Wish she had a gloss finish to her though and not looking forward to those ball joints going out in a year or two. Other than that, she's great!
Headmaster hasn't gotten stuck for me yet either.

Based on the picture, it looks like holding it by the front and back helps keep the plastic around the ball joint together.

I think the included stickers look real cheap. They’re just matte paper. I wonder if the Toyhax MP Ratchet sticker’s crosses will look better.

Did anyone successfully get the headmaster robot to sit in the car mode? The only way I've been able to get the headmaster to sit inside is by disconnecting one or both legs (they basically come off by themselves as I try to get them into the cockpit) and kind of position them in there first then try to reconnect one or both of them. I don't see much clearance in the cockpit for the legs at all. Wondering if I'm doing it wrong.

I got mine to fit in there, you have to bend them in a folding sitting position and sort of wedge her legs around the post in there. There was a video posted earlier in the thread showing how to put her in there. Let me see if I can find it again.

    Edit: Found it.

I got her in today, haven't transformed her yet. Will likely wait till this weekend. In anticipation of a Reprolabels set, I'm not going to add the stickers. I want to see what Toyhax comse up with first.

hello everyone, I finally got Miner ... ahem ... Athena :)
Both the robot and the vehicle are well cared for and well made, but I immediately found a couple of problems. One in alt mode and the other in robot mode.
ALT MODE PROBLEM: it was probably badly transformed before boxing it, but as soon as it was taken out of the box, the canopy was not in position and kept popping out of its seat. I checked and looking at the car from above without the roof, it was noticed that the body of the robot inside was totally "crooked". So I started to transform it, to be able to see the robot mode.
ROBOT MODE PROBLEM: I notice that both the left door and the attachments behind the legs to close the "calf" are soft and do not remain in position and attached as they should.

The only thing left for me to do now is to transform it back into the car to see if the body is still "crooked" and therefore the roof cannot be hooked up properly.

Also, is there a technique to put the driver in a good driving position? I tried to insert it three times and in all three cases my right leg was released.
