    I can't help but wonder, seeing that... would MB-06A (the black one) look better with the SG bomber? Possibly not, but even so...

    I suspect it is at least partly due to production run sizes. Both Black and Purple are smaller runs compared to the main color so combining them and running them together makes sense. Since they are offering purple at the SGC convention they had a hard deadline to get them finished. Whether meeting the convention deadline matters to people not going to the convention is a totally separate issue.

    Agreed. With this company especially, they legit learn from the releases they put out. Like with the Laser Prime. Definitely glad the main colors come later

    They're maximizing revenue. They know *some* people are more likely to double-dip if the non-main color is released first.

    This is what I’d like to know as well??? The classic toon Ginrai colors (red/blue) are coming out last? WTF!

    Perhaps a veiled attempt to gin up interest in the SG or Black version... but it’s having the opposite effect for me. Give us the good stuff first... then get all in to the fancy repaints.

    It probably isn't last at least. There is still Fire Guts (orange) in the future that I know they have at minimum considered.
