It's almost Friday on a holiday weekend and I need a break to talk Robots. That said, I'd like to hear your thoughts on: 1. Who do you feel is the most powerful Decepticon? (besides Megatron & Trypticon) 2. Who do you feel is the most powerful Autobot? (besides Omega Supreme and Optimus Prime) 3. Who is your favorite Autobot & Decepticon and why? 4. If you could choose your own new TF series, what would it be based on? (For example, ongoing series based on Dinobots, Specific Era, Group, faction etc) 5. Does the comic influence your toy purchasing for either TakSbro, 3Party or both? Thanks for indulging
Always love to talk about robots 1. Tie between Overlord, Sixshot, Black Shadow, and Tarn 2. Grimlock 3. Autobot- Star Saber because of his great design, and his cool anti hero character. Decepticon- Thundercracker because I just love his IDW portrayal 4. Agent 113 Mini Series, that would be sooo cool. Or Wreckers V DJD Series 5. Hell Yes!!! Bring on more IDW characters please!
1. I'd say Overlord or Sixhot, but give the nod to Sixshot because he is sane and not driven by the obsession to best Megatron. 2. Grimlock. There isn't even a close second, although I'd still love to see Fort Max thump with him. 3. Decepticon= Sixhot because of his design an demeanor. he has a very feel questioning his existence and role in the universe. Autobot= tough one..right now I'd say Prowl. 4. I would love to see a DJD and/or Wreckers series. Both could be independent and use deceased characters as not to disturb continuity by covering past missions. 5. My 3P purchases are absolutely driven by comics. While I do buy some just for sheer coolness factor alone, my love for Swerve, Chromedome and all the others have me lurking the 3P forum like a stalker.
1. Overlord 2. Whirl obviously 3. Whirl cuz he's super unvincilble, and Overlord cuz he's glorious 4. Punch/Counterpunch mini written/drawn by Nick Roche 5. God yes
1. Overlord. 2. Tough to say. Possibly Magnus. 3. Whirl, because he's one of the best truely insane characters. Which is to say, he's not just crazy to be funny, or a super depressed, dark psychotic. He's just fractured, unhinged, and an asshole. This lets him have both comedic moments, and times where he seriously comes off as damaged, without falling into eitehr as a total stereotype. 4. An Animated sequel comic. 5. Dear God yes.
Overmegasixwave of course! Rung Whirl, cos, y'know, insane. Decepticon? Hmm, toughy, so many, Swindle, Thundercracker, Overlord, Misfire, Shockwave, Soundwave, Starscream, Cyclonus (Not a Decepticon - Ed) but I'm going to have to go for the MacDaddy himself, regardless of the badge he currently wears, and go for Megatron. So composed, powerful, charismatic, and rounded with a clear path and goal from humble beginnings to universal domination. My favourite incarnation of Megs is in the comics, all others pale in his shadow. The Lost Light chronicles. A series of shorts or mosaics showing what's going on behind the scenes with the other 180 odd bots that we never really catch more than glimpses of. Hell. To. The. Yeah. No problemo
1. Overlord: brains, brawn and near invincibility make him hard to beat 2. Metroplex 3. Rung. I'm currently studying counselling and psychology and he is like my hero and if I would place his style as taking bits of psychoanalytical, gestalt, person centred and cognitive behaviour therapy if I had to place it within human theory. 4. A series set during nova primes 'Golden Age' era and starring pretentious Alpha Trion and also heavily featuring Star Saber. I think it would only work if they got someone to do really bright, excessive, regal and indulgent art, I'm thinking a bioshock infinite look but cybertronian obviously 5. yes
1: Sixshot, due to unpredictability of his forms, and the fact he's sane, intelligent, and a powerhouse on his own to boot. Overlord a close second, but knocked out due to the fact he's only really obsessed on Megatron and trying to do what he can to get his attention. 2: The most powerful Autobot IMO is Rung. He might not have the most physically imposing form or strike fear on the battlefield, but he has the single most important job of any Autobot: Keeping those who he can sane and able to function properly mentally. And anyone who can help both Red Alert and Whirl with their respective problems and NOT go insane has to have some kind of super power he's hiding. 3 A: Rodimus. He's always been my favorite since the original series, and I'm enjoying watching him grow in MTMTE. 3 D: Megatron. The evolution of the character from a simple miner and thinker to becoming a tyrant to returning to his more peaceful ways has been well done in my opinion, and I'm enjoying this new turn of events. 4: An ongoing Spotlight/Flashpoints type of thing. It would focus on individual bots who rarely if ever get the screen/page time of the big name bots and cons. It could be a day in the life of, or a miniseries with a character or group of bots, to whatever. And, hey, A Day In The Life Of Bob could easily come in here with no problems! 5: Easily.
1. Overlord 2. Whirl 3. Swerve (because he's just like me) and Shockwave (because logic) 4. TFA Season 4 5. kinda yeah.
1. Tarn (just had to be different) 2. I am not sure honestly. {Ultra Magnus} 3. Mirage (dunno I just do) and Soundwave in IDW run {I like he is a telepath and behind the scenes guy} 4. TF Prime season 3 5. I haven't bought any toys been debating about
1- probably the DJD, and sixshot plus overlord. 2- fortmax 3- can't name one with james great writing... i guess my favorite decepticon is thundercracker and tarn at the moment, because of their portrayal and how awesome they can be. maybe megatron can be my favorite afterall, anything roberts writes is gold... and for autobots, i'll have to go RATCHET as my alltime favorite autobot and then rung for his patient caring personality. 4-probably a comic focused on more obscure characters, specially decepticons, a comic about different decepticon squads in the "SURGE" era. an all out war story about action, adventure and probably the history of the so called decepticons. 5-no money for 3rd party for now. but yes.
1. Tarn and his awesome weaponized conversation 2. Grimlock 3. Prowl. The hero the autobots deserves but not the one it needs. Soundwave for his unquestionable loyalty to the Decepticon cause. 4. A series involving Nova Prime prior to him uniting the tribes on Cybertron 5. If they can come out with some awesome DJD figures which don't cost tons of money :<
1. Who do you feel is the most powerful Decepticon? (besides Megatron & Trypticon) Either Overlord or Tarn. We still haven't seen Tarn in full force or anything about him so until we do I'm going with Overlord. 2. Who do you feel is the most powerful Autobot? (besides Omega Supreme and Optimus Prime) Well currently it's Ultra Magnus because Grimlock is braindead and Fort Max is kidna fucked up in the head. 3. Who is your favorite Autobot & Decepticon and why? Whirl is probably the favourite bot. I don't think it need an explanation really As for 'Con I honestly don't have one. The 'Cons kinda get the shot end of the stick and I really can't pick one that stands out too much. Maybe Shockwave because I love his backstory. 4. If you could choose your own new TF series, what would it be based on? (For example, ongoing series based on Dinobots, Specific Era, Group, faction etc) Well my heart say Animated season 4 but my brain knows that won't end well. I wouldn't mind if Spotlight make a bigger comeback. 5. Does the comic influence your toy purchasing for either TakSbro, 3Party or both? Fuck yes. I'm pretty much only collecting IDW guys now. Everything else except for the Animated line and a few vintage BW guys I sold off.
1. Who do you feel is the most powerful Decepticon? (besides Megatron & Trypticon) I want to say Sixshot for the same reasoning as noblekale - but, for Tarn, Tesarus, and Helex to be able to dish out the damage they do to Phase Sixers, they must be P-6ers themselves. So I'm gonna say a tie between those three. 2. Who do you feel is the most powerful Autobot? (besides Omega Supreme and Optimus Prime) Ultra Swagnus–I mean Magnus, seeing as Grimlock is currently a potato. 3. Who is your favorite Autobot & Decepticon and why? Autobot: Whirl, for obv. reasons. Decepticon: Shockwave, because his entire story. Also "All life is equal. I merely assign it a quantifiable value–ZERO." Daymn, son. 4. If you could choose your own new TF series, what would it be based on? (For example, ongoing series based on Dinobots, Specific Era, Group, faction etc) I've been watching Avatar: The Last Airbender again lately, and I'd love a mini-series that's done "Tales of Ba Sing Se" style, little glimpses of the everyday goings on of the characters on the Lost Light and Cybertron. Or, Animated Season 4. 5. Does the comic influence your toy purchasing for either TakSbro, 3Party or both? Yeeeeep. My IDW influenced collection is in it's very early stages at the moment. But yeah, once my Prime collection is sorted, the MTMTE, LSotW, and RID casts are up next. It'll be between Hasbro/Takara and the odd 3rd Party figure where there isn't an official one.
1. Sixshot 2. Grimlock 3. Beachcober, Jazz & Soundwave (Some of my first TFs...liked the characters on the cartoon) 4. Wreckers (BTBATB-styled) 5. No, my purchases are based on filling out a neo-G1 roster
1. I'm gonna go with Overlord, though Tarn seems up there as well. 2. Metroplex (but that would be cheating) Magnus probably. 3.Whirl, because he's Whirl. And Soundwave since he's always been a favourite. 4. Spacefarers, bots spacefaring through space and running into all sorts of space trouble. So basically mtmte. 5. Yes, makes me want to buy more.
1. Tie between Overlord, Sixshot, Black Shadow, and Tarn 2. Grimlock 3. Autobot- Whirl because hes hilarious. Decepticon- Thundercracker because I just love his IDW portrayal 4. Agent 113 Mini Series (sorry, I just wanna see it ), that would be sooo cool. Or Wreckers V DJD Series 5. Definitely
