Had been eyeing this one for a long at at a local import store, and though he was going cheap, for some reason no one ever bought the guy. Finally gave in last week, and only had time to shoot it yesterday. You can rarely go wrong with BLACK repaints! Face reminds me of Movie Ironhide... Wish there was some way of keeping this gimmick like this without having to hold the planet key in...
Yeah, I had seen the official colour around, and it was the main reason I put off getting this one for the longest time. Finally smartened up a little.
There is. Slide a fingernail in his jaw, open it as far as it will go. See them black tufts mounted on the side of his head. They rotate when the gimmick is activated. Still holding his mouth open, rotate the tufts around his ears all the way down until they are stopped by the upper jaw and can't go any further. There you have it, mouth locked open.
Nice find, man. I have the regular Fang Wolf paint scheme, but the black looks a lot better IMO. Good price, too!
I got my Dark Fang Wolf for Christmas one year (either last year or the one before, I think the one before). One of the better things I've received, actually.
Wow, really? I had no idea he had gone back up so much. A month or two after he came out, they were ALL over eBay for $20-25. And BBTS must've over-ordered, 'cuz they clearanced him at $18.99 at around the same time. I snapped one up then -- I guess I'm lucky I did. I agree on the love, though. He's very gorgeous. And y'know, I'd've happily paid $30, so good on ya, Sycia! Also agree on the movie Ironhide resemblance -- hadn't noticed that before.
