I'd be okay with the simplistic aspect...if you want to call it that, but it's too small for MP. Whether one feels it too dated for their Classics collection I supposed is up to them. I'd more than happily put it with mine if someone wanted to trade one of these for the Henkei version. But my days of repeatedly replacing Classics figures is long past so this is unfortunately a pass.

 

Looks fantastic. Fits right in with Combiner Wars.

I just want a cool Astrotrain. The size or what collection of toys it fits in with doesn't bother me.

 

Well, the time has come to put ol' Henkei Astrotrain back in his box, cause this guy is all win.

 

Time to replace my Henkei Astrotrain in my classics collection with this! I almost got the toyworld tfcon exclusive cartoon color evilastar but this one from machine boy looks great!

 

This would have made a great MP. Chigurh's detailing is an eyesore to me. The clean look of Machine Boy is much preferred.

This guy is gorgeous. Easily the best looking one so far, but how does everyone know how big he is? Were their size comparisons somewhere? Cause I can't find any.

 

If this guy is voyager, soooo in! What I've wanted was to get a complete trio of CHUG Decepticon triple changers. Chigurh was my initial pic, haven't gotten him yet, but he takes too many liberties to MP, so saw him as a leader class Astro-Train. Voyager would be perfect. Also he has the best shuttle mode in that its the closest to the cartoon and has working cargo doors to boot!

its a nice piece, that will fit a more CHUG sized collection. A nice mix of the toy & cartoon elements. Even though I'm only collecting MP style items, I admit this is a tempting piece.

I scale everything to Hegemon and Mania King, and Voyager figures in general, so that knocks out many MP stuff. So if this dude is a Voyager I'm in plenty of other MP third party stuff out there currently.

 

Frankly, I think he's just the right size for what he is. If he perfectly matched the cartoon model, then yes I'd like him to be MP sized.

He doesn't match the cartoon, and while he is a bit closer than the other figures out there, I wouldn't want figure that's close but not perfect on my MP shelf.

 

Need to see a size comparison. But shoddy train wheels aside it looks good. Reviews will decide whether or not I bother buying it.

 

Why is he looking away from the camera? Is he ashamed?

 

This looks really great! I kind of want one, honestly. Glad he's not MP scaled.

 

Looks good in all modes, and shuttle craft mode is very cartoon accurate compared to the other two.
