Wildrider and Tarantulas pre-ordered. I've decided I'm going in on Menasor now. Gonna have to wait for Motormaster till later cause money's tight rn, but him Dragstrip and the other 2 are for sure on my list.

 

Knock Out’s vehicle mode is actually pretty nice looking. His robot mode, meh. The face being really dull and inexpressive burns more than the body.

I'm surprised people are down on Jhiaxus. I jumped at the order button as soon as I saw it. I mean, it looks just like him in all of his gaudy glory!

 

It's been fun, but this is a great point to stop collecting new Hasbro stuff. I can easily afford to pay the higher prices, but I won't. Some of these new deluxe figures look like Combiner Wars quality for double the price.

At least with Siege, Earthrise, and Kingdom the quality was higher for $20. At $25 with a step back in quality, it isn't going to happen. I don't care about the excuse of inflation, that doesn't account for the massive increase. Not after prices already doubled in ten years.

I saw wave one of Legacy in Target and took a look. I didn't buy anything and laughed at the windowless box and the sad figure taking up 20% of the space.

Bye Hasbro. Greed has a price and I will no longer be a customer.

It's far from 3rd party looking, but I get what you mean because of the design choices and how it combines. Elita is trying to be animation accurate. Good? Bad? You decide. Jhiaxus was always hideous, one of his charms. I agree with Knock Out, I just don't find a spot for him in my collection.

I don't think it'll be CW 2.0. Menasor was long overdue, Defensor was a maybe for the future. Takara-Tomy still has faith in the CW molds, otherwise, we wouldn't have seen so many reissues and reuses of them as of late. The Seacons aren't going to be redone any time soon. What you see is what you get, they might reissue them, but that's about it. I agree about the rest not needing redone. I think they did just fine as they were. Menasor was a very specific combiner that didn't require Scramble City functionality, it was just a perk in the toys.

I adore Animated, but most of it's toys are excellent already. And I wouldn't accept a compromised design aesthetic to make them fit with other CHUG releases.

But seriously, ask yourself this. If ten years ago somebody had told you there would be a TF wave with a Prime character, a triple changer, two parts of a combiner, a G2 accurate Jhiaxus AND a BW figure would you have ever, in a million years believed them?

It's a great time to be a TF fan, is all I'm saying. Not perfect, but great.

 

Elita looked to be a huge snore... until I saw the alt mode! Omg yes to that car!

Ok, Magnus order is in. I'll tarry on the others for now. So far, I haven't had too many issues getting the figures I've wanted either in store or online.

I am 100% on board with nearly all of these.

New Jhiaxus? Hell yeah. I can finally have an excuse to get rid of the T30 one after all these years.

New Knockout? Don\'t mind if I do(in best Darran Norris voice).

New Tarantulas? I cackled with glee. My Year One Beast Wars cast is almost complete!

New Elita? Probably a pass. I like the maroon and tan on the Netflix version way more than the pink and magenta here. Plus, the Netflix series was my exposure to Elita as a character(other than the toys and the community), and I really liked her portrayal in that(she was the saving grace of that crappy show, imo). I just think this Elita is kind of a downgrade, but if you don\'t like the Netflix one or can\'t get it anymore, she is the way to go.

Bummer the Soundwave isn\'t the Netflix one. Guess I\'ll have to go without that another two years.

Maybe I\'ll even get the SG Magnus to use as my Delta Magnus. I don\'t have a Kingdom Magnus, so this\'ll give me an excuse to get the Earth mode Magnus and keep my Siege one on the shelf. Curious to see how the head swap will work on it.

And I\'ve said my piece on the Blitzwing and the Stunticons, so I\'ll end that off with something I kinda noticed. The legs sort of look like they have the Combiner Wars connection, so maybe this will be compatible with the other Scramble City bots. We\'ll just have to see.
