Why is it that voting for a male combiner is totally okay, but voting female is "shoehorning"? I don't see what's inherently wrong with wanting a little variety and being given the opportunity to have some.
I'm hoping for a unisex name that can be considered intimidating. I'm a fan of the brute females like Stryka, so I'm voting:
Judging from this thread so far (and I haven't actually counted), my guess is odds are:
Victorion 90%/Slammoth 10%
Leader 55%/Loyal 15%/Independent 30%
Galvatronus 70%/Devastator 30%
It only a select few. Mostly the crasy tumblr fanbase. Most here actually want females added which is fine. It is those crazy fans that put me against the idea
Quake break seems to be a fairly popular contender, too.
I voted Female, Loyal, with nemesis so Galvatronus. Name of Victorion.
Which is really weird because what they want is harmless and you even admit they're outnumbered by everyone else.
I'm a "tumblr fan". No need to be insulting.
Victorian. The other names sound silly to me regardless of gender.
Loyal. “Leader” seems off for a character who’s its own team. “Independent” is pointless when IDW is already 87% loners, loose cannons, traitors, and whack jobs by volume.
Galvatronus, because “Superion” and “Omega Supreme” weren't choices for name. I’ve got no beef against made-up combiners, but have them fight each other; let's not Mary Sue them into the franchise. (It takes business away from all you fan fic writers. )
No vote from me on gender--I wanted a mixed team. Oh well.
Probably so. Victorion seems to be the clear winner, however, on this board at least. Keep in mind, lurkers and more casual fans not associated with message boards may have other plans. Male or female, I'll personally be very pleased Victorion. As a few have mentioned...it's just so Brave Series.
Nothing in this paragraph makes sense... Did you even read what Maximus Alpha wrote? They asked why people felt including a female character felt like 'shoehorning' and you go off on some weird tangent about... whatever that above sentence was.
From what I've seen the Tumblr crowed would be thrilled to have a female combiner. Same as the majority of this thread.
Greetings fellow Tumblr fan *fistbump*
I probably wanted this the most. No word if we'll get to vote on individual bots gender...so my assumption is that they will either be all male or all female.
I can't vote but I'm praying for a female combiner! Let's do this thing guys! Don't get stuck in the past!
I'd love for the rest to be:
Galvatronus for the Nemesis.
Your poor wife.
It's going to happen anytime gender is mentioned, and some people can be civil when talking about it and others not. C'est la vie.
*High five* As a little girl I prayed Hasbro would release a toy of Elita One, but was obviously disappointed. Took 30 years, but there's finally some truly decent femmebot toys.
A female combiner name Victorion is a great idea, but it just doesn't seem to line up with hailing from Sea of Rust for me? Seems to weird unless there is some weird back story?
I just can't picture all rusty looking females, wouldn't they want to be all shiny and colorful?
I voted female, loyal, Quakebreak and Galvatronus as the nemesis. All the names are pretty bad though. And does a female combiner mean all five members are female? Or just the torso is? Either way, I don't care. I just want it.
Unless they're wasteland cyberchicks.
Isn't this the "Final Round", or was that misreported by various sites?
Earlier in the thread I pitched Victorion as the name of an ancient warrior who had long since disappeared from the public eye and hid in the Sea of Rust.
So he/she may not "hail" from it, but it's where you'd find them now.
Why would they care any more or less than male bots? Except maybe Knock-Out.
Maybe they were at one time
The last one was difficult - I'm not in favor of a Cyclonus formed combiner, but the other choices, as I recall, already have their own assigned nemesis - Menasor has Superion, and Devastator has Omega Supreme.
Separate names with a comma.
