I'm not a fan of "Victorion," as it just strikes me of kind of lame in comparison to the other two--but then again, I can say the same of all the other Autobot combiner names, so maybe it's perfect. :D

Edit: Sorry, but this mention of "Victoriona" just makes me go :inquisiti

I think the main issue with complaining is that when you offer no better alternative, it does come off as a bit cynical and unhappy. I.e. "you just can't please some people". You know what you should do? You should complain and then offer some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism - alternatives and suggestions are a great way to do that. Not only does it get your point across better, but it also could inspire further conversation and/or improvements in that which you criticize. :D  :2c:
How is "Victorian" a FEMALE term? I kind of take offense to that - "Victorian times" does not refer to a time when everyone was girly or like Queen Victoria - so to me, "Victorion" sounds gender-neutral: something Hasbro is probably very aware of. They wouldn't put female names in there, because then they'd need to make the list twice as long to have options for both male and female combiners.

But if you ask me to pick a gender-neutral name for a baby, I'd think that was crazy! :p  Call me old-fashioned. :D  Victoriona! :thumb

Superion: Your name is Victorion? That sounds kind of silly.

    Victorion: You're one to talk.

Not to mention what other names are already being used by other companies.

Superion is to Super as Victorion is to...?

    (Hint: The answer isn't "Victoria")

I like the idea of the combiner being named Victorion since it would be kind of a nod to Brave.

How well would an all-female combiner sell? Especially towards a boy-dominant toy line. Hasbro is a business first and foremost. This isn't one or two figures they need to sell, this is five or six all on pegs at the same time. The last time I remember female Transformers being hard to find or selling quick was during Beast Wars(air razor, tm2 blackarachnia) and Beast Machines(strika). We can't base it on the arcee/chromia wave because they did not get full retail saturation since most stores skipped the wave and went right to combiner wars.

Anyone think this may be done as a retailer exclusive boxed set to combat the possibility of slow selling/unwanted peg-warming female figures? If the idea flops, it would be better for the team to be taking up one shelf spot in a box than a bunch of pegs. Or take up only warehouse space if it's an online exclusive (Amazon).

^they wouldn't have given the option if they didn't think it was going to sell. And the combiner being female doesn't necessarily mean all the members are female.

They can always make the main torso along with the character being the torso a fembot with the other lumps being a mix of both male and female characters.

I would potentially agree if they weren't using existing molds (I believe this has been confirmed). If there aren't any over-the-top "THIS CHARACTER IS FEMALE" cues in any retooled parts or the boxart, I don't think that many kids are going to care about the bio. Plus, some of those who do care about the bio will be positively swayed instead of negatively.

This is just the impression I've got after seeing little boys pick out Beast Hunters Ripclaw because "Dragon robot! Awesome!" and from seeing other boys actively searching for a figure of April from TMNT.

    Also, I hope this happens.

Don't forget they sell these in Japan and Asia as well. I'm sure the idea would sell immensely in Japan especially.

Arcee was not only sold-out everywhere retail brick and mortar - she was (still is? I don't know - no interest in that mold, I prefer Azalea) but also sold out online.

The idea alone is also enough to provoke a lot of interest and will generate huge amounts of buzz - "THE WORLDS FIRST FEMALE COMBINER!!"

    Exactly that ^

I was honestly expecting Hasbro to not even bother with a gender option. The fact that they've included is not only a pleasant and welcomed surprised, but a sign that they are paying attention to their fanbase and realise that there is a market for female toys.
