I drink 3 Monster's a day and I'm just fucking fine. The parent's really need to grow up on this one.
Monster should counter sue the parents and see if they can get the parents charged with manslaughter for LETTING their kid drink that crap in the first place.
...or buying it for her. ***repeating heart felt sentiments expressed by many members already from the many pages*** ***repeating snarky comments expressed by many members already from the many pages*** Poor girl, at 14, there's still so much to live for...felled by the defective genes her parents gave her.
I'm guessing the parents are gonna sue so they use the money to get out of welfare Gotta love the U.S.A.
"I drank Monsters and I'm fine" is NOT really good evidence it's not dangerous/defective. Doing some more research into this it appears the parents were well aware of their daughter's condition, and Monster does warn the "caffeine sensitive" (but doesn't seem to state just how much caffeine is actually in their drinks), so technically the family was warned and don't have much of a case in that regard. Your teenage daughter died? Grow some fucking BALLUZ, pussies! That'll just be amazing for their image. "MONSTER sues Parents of dead Teen because they bought (or allowed their Teen to buy) the 'recommended' amount of MONSTER drink because Teens shouldn't be drinking MONSTER despite MONSTER being marketed to Teens"
Likely the parents didn't even know. You can't watch a teenager 24hrs a day, nor should you. However, did she, or they, know she had a pre-existing condition that would be affected by caffeine? That's the real factor...
The parents suing over this is incredibly misguided, but hey, typical "there's gotta be someone to blame" attitude which is way too common these days It sucks the girl died but it's no fault of Monster's. Everyone knows those energy drinks are loaded with caffeine and various other stuff, as has been pointed out several times already, they all come with warnings on the can about drinking too many. I know teens can be dumb, but given her condition she should really have known better, and if her parents were aware of her drinking it, well that just strikes me as really stupid on their part.
Srsly? No disresct bro, but it's a fricken energy drink. Theres gonna be a shit load of long lettered words in the ingredients lable that'll F you up if you go a lil overboard. I don't need some phd to tell me that >:/ I've drunk coffee since I was 5, dispite my moms protests, and it never hurt me, nor stunted my growth. This is merely a case of a person 'doing the wrong' thing, which resulted in her death. It seems to me if she exercised a little more, it might've hastened her inevitable doom, but I'm not certain of these pre-existing conditions she had. I've never had an energy drink myself, someday maybe, but I fear a mild addiction to the things. But I don't think we should restrict future generations of things we took for granted.
I can't speak for american labelling, but ALL energy drinks in the uk tell you how many mg of caffeine are in each serving, it's one of the selling points.
