There are a few instances that my fatigue was beyond help. It was so bad, any kind of energy drink will not help it. But yeah, I drank my share with the rest of the boys. It was good to wash away the lingering flavors from some of the variety of MREs that I ate.
2 24 oz cans. Pretty sure it's 3 servings a can? If you don't obey the servings, that's your own fault. As a teenager with a bit of a weaker heart, I usually can't drink one serving of these at a time, let alone 6. While I'm sorry for her parents, it's the girl's own fault and choice.
What? Being October, I thought this was going to involve the wolfman or Dracula or something. This isn't nearly as fun. After a couple of these energy drinks, which usually taste like crap, I feel like I'm going to die of heartburn. I stay away from them.
Didn't that happen with some kid and Red Bull a few years ago??? I don't drink any of that stuff myself, but at some point people need to accept responsibilty for what THEY put in their bodies...and how much. Sadly, the parents probably purchased this stuff, or at least saw the cans around the house. Ask some questions, look at the labels, then tell your kid NO and stop buying this stuff. Sorry about the kid, but there's always somebody out there who will have a reaction to power drinks, etc. I believe the 5hr drinks have a 12 year old or older buying limit..but don't know about Monster.
pretty hilarious how these parents probably allowed her to drink the stuff in hopes of her dying so they could attempt to profit off of her death by suing the company to make millions. Nice get rich quick scheme. Can I do it too? I mean come on, I'm poor and need a bigger place for my Transformers Collection dammit!
Put me in the camp disappointed by the title. I was expecting a chupacabra or Return of the Yeti or something. And also put me in the "drinks not dangerous" camp. I've drank energy drinks and soda several times a day since I was a kid and never had any problems. It's clear that she had a pre-existing condition and that's what caused her death, not the energy drinks she pounded. Seriously, if I was the judge in this case I would say "Get the <explitive deleted> out of my courtroom!"
Poor girl. Other people have pretty much said all I could say, that while tragic, it's not exactly the drink's fault that she drank them, but still. Poor girl. Well, I never liked energy drinks much anyway; always preferred Dr Pepper.
I find it funny how a few years ago Americans all seemed to be going wtf over energy drinks, when we've had them i the UK since the early 90s. Plus there's never been a huge thing with kids and caffeine here. The whole kids can't drink coffee always struck me as odd.
You guys must not have a major "OMG THINK OF TEH CHILDRENZ!!!!!!" trend across the pond. Either that, or you got over it quickly.
I drink energy drinks since I was 13 years old, which was 18 years ago. Never had any problems. Recently I drank 9 cans in a night.
I would think it would be a combination of the caffiene and the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. That hardly makes it Monster's fault, though. If she had that condition, she shouldn't of been drinking caffienated beverages in the first place. (Also, when I read the title of the thread I was all like "What the... are the family suing a monster that ate their girl?)
I bet you raped the flush button. I normally drink 3 cans of red bull in a night when I play at the club but that's the most I go. No more, no less.
I drank a couple of sips of a monster chest pain started fast but only lasted a minute or so but still kill a person i don't think it could
