Since the new balancing upgrade has gone live, nearly every other game results in a Migrating Host and connection error issue. This might not seem bad as the game picks up from where it was from a score issue, but the game loses your count / XP from the previous session!

I had only had one, maybe two migrating host issues since launch, until this last balancing upgrade, and now it's at least every 2 or 3 games.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem in the states?

 

Host migration has absolutely nothing to do with the balancing update. It's caused by the host leaving the match. It just means that whoever is hosting your match disconnected or quit.

 

Can't say I've had many problems with host migration. Seems to be working as advertised. Only 2 out of a few dozen times have I found myself "stuck" between hosts in the loading screen and had to quit FoC and start it back up.

 

happens to me like every second game (ps3) nothings changed. and your options are broken

 

The problem is people keep leaving because they don't want to hear the words "you lose".
A major problem with gamers today.

My team was about to win and the host left causing host migration and my score went down to 1 point when before the host migration I had 11 points.

I miss the days where most games had dedicated servers.

 

I hate that when the host migrates you lose your score.

 

Not always, but usually.

 

Only one person seems to keep their score. My guess is it's the new host.

 

Agreed, however I only had a couple before the update, and now it's happening so often I'm about ready to give up playing MP games. They need to have better logic to determine 'who' can be a host. If you leave games early, or quit, then you should be barred from being a host.
