Heavy/Scratch: Faceplate Smashin Leader Megs.... With new arms and hands (WIP)

    I knew I couldn't not do a Megatron. I hated the mold..... until I saw it in person!!!! BLEW ME AWAY.. It is almost as good as Prime.... well, not really... but....

    Lets see where this goes.....new hands, new arms, cannon will be mounted on arm with new joint (kinda like F-R's,but a different joint), new paint, and some cool little accessories. UNDA DA SEA!!!

    So the left arm is no longer gimp. But thicker with a new hand on ball joint.

    The DEATH ARM has a ratchet joint in it at the elbow.

    So, the cannon can be switched with the arm. With the cannon the arm stores on the back. OR, I can put the arm on and the cannon can be stored on the side of the forearm or on the back.

    Yes, it still transforms with only the right arm being stored at the real of the tank acting as a grapple.

    Missile still shoots.

    OKAY, SO NOW JUST TO FINISH UP THE DETAILS
    Arms are done. Molding done.

    He has been airbrushed based with gunmetal, then shadow with black and highlighted with ALCLAD II...

    Now just to add the rusty weathered look, and the sta.....nevermind

    Wait. Johnny Depp's hands looked nothing like that in "Eating Gilbert Grape".

    Okay, left arm is movie 1 Megatron's forearm with a McFarlane toys (can't remember the figure) hand. Am I right? Also, are you using a ratchet joint for the right arm?

    I like the added bulk. Is it modeling compound or tape? Kinda hard to tell in B/W.

    I'm still on the fence about getting this figure, but this custom is making me lean towards the "must buy it and do this myself" side.

    Excellent work. Can't wait to see it completed and in color.

    That is the funniest thing I have seen in a while!!!!! DESKTOPPED!!!
    Only one of my favorite characters of all time. It made it easier to bury his wife under the corn... wait, I mean
    You are right. Movie 1 megs and spawn cyber unit!!! I will do a how to. That is just tape for now. I am adding more bulk. I kept thinking "take my good hand"

    I still vote for Gilbert Grape.


    Do any of the modifications hinder the transformation at all? I don't have the figure yet and don't know if it has the space for added arm bulk or a murder-arm joint.

    HAHA.. I was thinking ..what was that..21 Jump street.. Johnny was that right?

    But the transformation will be posable. Just other a bit more cutting and mods thats all.

    I really prefer the murder arm. With the girth of his upper body, having two weedy arms gives him the impression of weakness. With the one thinner arm you were modifying and the claw arm it just looked...right.

    I agree, i really prefer the original look. If you modified the arm cannon so it bent at the elbow and kept the awesome gimp arm you made then this would be so much better. :2c:
