    What is this affici-thingamajig?

I wear only cheap sunglasses. Sunglasses tend to break or get lost, so I don't want to spend crazy money for them. Never bought sunglasses that cost more than 20€. And often I don't wear them, because I once had white skin in the eye area while the rest of the face was tanned and that looks stupid.

The X-Squared no longer use the same bolt technology as the previous X-Metals. The X-Squared bolts are actually screws and are now able to be removed with a hex screwdriver unlike the other X-Metal frames that require a special machine to remove the bolts.

I've never got into Oakleys, I've always been a "rayban" person.

:lol  When I used to frame houses for a living, I looked like a reverse raccoon from wearing sunglasses most of the year! I usually only buy cheap dollar store shades nowadays as I lose or break them quite a bit. I've only ever owned one pair of Oakleys. My brother gave me this pair years ago, don't know if he found them or stole them, and I absolutely loved 'em! They were non-metal, with silver frames and light amber colored lenses. They were awesome for wearing in gloomy weather as they kind of "brightened" everything outside. Then one day I was helping a friend move and like a dummy, hung them off the front of my belt. They snapped in two while trying to move something big and heavy through a doorway. :(  Anyway it's on the bucket list to eventually own another pair some day.

Pretty much what i thought. Thanks.

I've got another question for you, if you don't mind:

My Juliets have gone really floppy at the flex point. I presume this is pretty common? So if i send them back, will they just pop out the rivets, and replace the rubber (?) inside the joint, then bolt them back together again?

Or will they just sell me a new frame?

If you send it in for a tune up they'll replace anything that needs replacing such as the rubber gaskets in the flex coupler (nose bridge with the rivets) and the earsocks/nose bombs/temple shocks.

If there's a problem with the frame itself they'll send you an entirely new frame.

I remember I have still one pair of sunglasses that is kinda typically 90s. Maybe the reason I don't wear them anymore. Because not everything in the 90s was great after all :D

It looks more like a visor of a Transformer and the glass is like a colored mirror goldish-blue. I don't know what the proper term in english would be. Maybe someone can help me on this *g*

Oakley Blades or M-frames? There's a guy I work with that still wears the original Blades and they sit super high up past the bridge of his nose too.

My eyewear collection. I am from southern california, so I change up the glasses to match my outfits.

I am in the process of changing my room into a studio... so there's some fall out from the decorating. Most of the glasses were purchased at thrift stores though.

My wife got me some woofbatz (wolfbats) for my bday. Came with a set of interchangeable icons, kind of a cool gimmick! I was a little apprehensive about the size as I've only ever worn something like halfjacks before. They've grown on me though and now I look like a rockstar!
