    Well he did fall down to another highway, he must of got stuck in a traffic jam :rolleyes2

    In order to make a dramatic entrance, that's why. ;) 

    But seriously, I'm sure that even his quick scuffle with Bonecrusher was enough to give the rest of the Autobots quite the head-start. Plus, in the novel, wasn't Optimus still "dealing with" Barricade? That could've also been why he was late to the party.

    The bigger mystery is where he was during the whole highway sequence in DOTM. He was 10 minutes behind.
