When did I say I've never seen map packs done well? What I did say, is that they bore me, and end up dividing the players to the point I don't find much enjoyment out of them. I got bored with having to relearn where hot locations and power weapons are for any pack I bought, it felt like a chore more than an experience. And look you and others may have different views on this subject and hey whatever, that's fine. I just prefer the fact that they're letting people without the DLC still enjoy that content while not restricting people from playing the game if they don't.
The developers noted that if some players don't play as an unavailable Monster or Hunter does not mean you won't play against them. So they advise that players should still learn strategies for fighting said characters.
Ah I see. Different strokes for different folks I guess. With Evacuation mode up now you can try practicing different classes with AI controlled monsters if you feel you're not ready to go up against player-controlled ones. Went ahead and preordered the game and got all the shit. GOAT for me as of now.
I have this idea of a monster which she can spawn a number of smaller creatures to attack the hunters and she can cannibalize them to gain armor and help to evolve. I was thinking her name would be Echidna, but that name would be more fitting for the queen monster that breeds all of the monsters. Only if the queen monster exists.
Once again, I am late to the game. I've just heard about Evolve, watched some videos and my coworker was trying to explain it. His best description was Left 4 Dead, but with alien monsters?
Close but yet not close. Is it four player co-op? Yes. Do you face off against hordes of monsters? No. You face off against one monster, controlled by another player. And you and your teammates need to work together in order to bring him down. Or else he'll crush you. Oh, and the monster can evolve to become stronger and harder to defeat.
