I've been an Evil Dead fan since I was a kid watching the movies in the 80's. I've wanted to make myself an Ash costume for as long as I can remember, but I've never been happy with the options for chainsaws. With my limited skills, I wanted to make sure that what I bought would have all the major characteristics that I needed so modifications would be fairly limited. I thought I had found an easy option on eBay about a month ago. Turns out, I was so wrong! So much work went into this chainsaw, but I'm really proud of the end results. It's part of my Halloween costume, but this chainsaw will probably stay on display in my office once Halloween is over. Here's the parts list: Morris Costumes Chainsaw Flat aluminum bar L-brackets Barbeque tongs Various bolts Dryer vent tube Two baby food caps Popsicle sticks Spare plastic disc Wooden dowel Paints: Krylon Cherry Red spray Krylon Flat Black spray Folk Art Acrylic Silver Major things that were changed/added: Moved support bar from top to side Moved handle with electronics button inside Removed speaker and speaker grill Replaced speaker grill with custom grill made from popsicle sticks and plastic disc Added top handle using aluminum bar and wood handle from barbeque tongs Added cuff to the back of the saw using the dryer tube and L-brackets Removed old chainsaw pull start and replaced with dowel "Dirtied" everything up to make it look used I hope you all enjoy! Thanks for looking!
