Just to address some of the missing transformations - if it was too quick to catch, or in a small corner of the screen, or only the tail end of one, I usually didn't include it. By the time you realize what you're supposed to be focusing on, it'd be over and onto the next one. I also didn't include cheaters (people walking in front of cars that fade into robots), tiny little lame ones like the appliances in RotF, or any farting toy trucks. The garbage truck transformation mentioned above happens 95% off screen.

So happy with the reception guys, seriously. This has really made my day.

Actually The camera is moving while the cybertronian is scanning the garbage truck and he's still on screen when he transforms. 99% of it is on screen.

 

From the end of ROTF I think.. Around the time Devastator appears..

The SS one I don't recognize starts at 4:08.. Is that DOTM?

It's not from the extended edition. It's the scene where Starscream is chasing Bumblebee and the Twins, and when Leo starts crying and Simmons tasers him.

 

Awesome stuff! Overall, I find the live-action movies to be guilty pleasures regarding their story and characterization, but I always love the action scenes and of course transformation sequences.

I'm also in the crowd of folks who would enjoy this as a DVD/Blu-Ray special feature - maybe an especially grand version when the definitely final movie is released? And hey, it could be extra cool if there were also a little VFX retrospective on the variety of transformations.

 

That was just awesome. Truely captures the reason why I love the movie aesthetic. It would've been SO easy to make those transformations cheap or "explody" but every part moves with purpose.

Yep, it's DotM, when he comes across Sentinel Prime's damage to the NEST facility.

 

Black Out's transformation at the beginning of the 1st movie is still the best IMO!
