I have been collecting transformers for most of my life. I've bought thousands and they are all special to me. I love the engineering, the construction, the packaging, the fiction and the fun of display.

There have been duds along the way, but some facet of the toy will win me over.

    ...All but one.

In 2006 I bought 6 inch Titanium Megatron (GI Joe Megatron).

I held on to it for ten years.

Then when I was packing up my collection for a move I decided he would no longer sully the Transformers name, and I pitched him in the garbage.

He is the only Transformer I have ever purposefully thrown away.

    How about you?

I've thrown ROTF Thrust into the sofa, pretending he was flying yesterday.
    But the trash, no. Never.

Only when they broke. I remember throwing away Movie 2007 Fast Action Battler Fireblast Optimus Prime and a G1 Optimus Prime cab away because in both cases, an arm broke off. I think some of my siblings have thrown away my toys by accident (offhand, I think DOTM Cyberverse Bumblebee was one such case). I don't really throw any of my toys away anymore, but man, do I miss owning a G1 Prime.

I only ever throw out TFs that are beyond repair or giving away. Like... a broken ball joint is salvageable, a warped piece of junk is not.

No, when they are damaged or I don't have space I give them to my 4 year old cousin or just give them away

When I moved I decided I needed to let go of some things. Some of my tranformera from my youth were "customized" begond savung, and not aomething I'd put on display. So I put them in a trash bag, and tried mt best to not think about it all the way to the dump. All of them were literally beyond saving. It was just time to let it go.

I'd never trash a perfectly good figure.

Yes. Dinobot Scorn. He was so trashed by the time she was done with him, that he had no legs and arms and no way to put them back on. He was just a snake with 4 broken stubs and a big ass sail on his back. I was super annoyed.

He did look kinda cool that way though.

In the past, I've discarded some figures that were damaged way beyond repair.

I toss toys that have been victims of an 80 lb. German Shephard/Labrador mix who enjoys the taste of plastic. If they are just broken, what I can salvage goes to a fodder box for customs/repair work.

Toys I just don't like end up in the fodder box, too. If I don't think I will be able to use anything from them, I give them away.

Ones where a custom paint job just sucked. But practice make perfect. Also tossed out a deluxe cybertron bumblebee that broke. Seeing as I personally didn't care for that mold, I was very ok with letting it go. Lol

Just some garbage knock-offs. Then again, I find most knock offs to be trash.

I find uses for damaged or broken figures, so I hang on to that stuff.
I did almost toss out a few Armada figures for being horrible, but they have some pretty robust joints, so are worth saving for custom work.

I tossed a Star Wars/TF crossover "storm trooper"; it's been in the landfill for a few years now

Like everyone else, I've only ever pitched broken figures. I would rather donate or sell figures I either didn't like or no longer wanted than just throw them away.

Yep generations tankor. Got it shipped to me in error but was told to keep it. Even my 3 year old nephew stamped on it when I gave it to him. What a POS.
