OK, so with my new obsession with the Prime line back in tact, I was looking at the sheer number of new molds the Prime line has released in the last 2 years. I actually think it is pretty insane if you really sit back and count them all. I did that today. You know what number I came up with? 30! Between Deluxe, Voyager and Powerizer there are a total of 30 unique molds in the line to this point! That is beyond ******ingly insane if you think about it. Here is the breakdown: Hasbro: 2 Powerizers 9 Voyagers 18 Deluxes Takara: 2 Voyagers 1 Deluxe That is a total of 30 molds. To put that in perspective, I was taking a look at my Classics line. I counted roughly 28 molds. I know that number maybe a bit low, but I have a pretty full collection and cannot think I have more then 7 molds missing in that collection. BTW, this is just counting the Deluxe or bigger lines. Maybe this is the reason why we are getting smaller hollower figures. We are getting so many new molds that they need to cut cost where they can to continue pumping out new molds. Now I feel bad saying that Smokescreen should have had his own mold. It would be nice, but can a company really do so many new molds in a year and still have them be great? Is that possible? I guess this explains why Arachnid sucked so bad.
