I had an extra evasion optimus prime gun (megatron's shotgun) and I decided tHat I wanted one for my leader class optimus. Before you say that you can get a third party shotgun made for optimus, I know but I didn't want to wait a week to get it. I started by sanding both of the holding pegs, and a little bit in front of the handle because it was blocking the way. After that, with a little push the shotgun slid into optimus' hand securely. But I felt it had a dull color so I decided to spray paint it silver which in my opinion gave it a nice touch. Although I do feel that it's a little small on him I still feel that it's a really nice touch to him. Overall it is very simple to do and if you have a rotf optimus I recommend you do it.
