It is about time i contributed something to the radicons. I was playing around with my junker evasion prime trying to create an easy hand mod when I switched Transformers prime Wheeljacks hands with primes, they fit like gloves!

All you have to do is remove the screws on the back of prime's forearm take the old hands out and replace them with wheeljacks, no cutting or glue required!

 

Those are GREAT for that mold!

does it still TF ok?

 

yes, but you have to flip them down so they don't interfere with anything.

 

As you can see from these pictures you have to rotate the hands down and fold them down for it to properly transform

 

you might want to bulk the back of the hand out, as they look kinda skinny when compared to his forearm

 

Great thinking. Now which of my wheeljacks is going to get some new, crappy blue hands...

i knew that $5 BH wheeljack would come in handy. guess i don't have to go to vietnam for a cheap hand job.

EDIT: i can't get the hands to fold down enough for the fake windows to sit flush in truck mode... is there a trick i'm missin?

 

Loving this mod. It is simple to do and looks fantstic. Was gonna add the hinge to the forearm mod, but this works great. And is cool since the wheeljack hands have that hinge, the wrist articulation makes for some cool gun toting poses. I also added shoulder pads to bulk up the upper arms. I used the shoulder pads off a HFTD voyager Optimus. Made some tabs on them to plug the pads into the small hole on the upper arms of evasion mode Optimus. Wish I could share photos, but I only have access from my phone.

This is a fantastic find! And I even happened to have an extra Wheeljack sitting around waiting to donate parts. I love the extra bit of articulation this gives Prime and the style/color of the hands blends perfectly too. I can't get the panels behind the cab to fold completely flush, but that's a fine trade-off for a set of killer hands.

 

I just tore some hands from my junker BH Wheeljack, and this mod really improves Prime. I didn't think I could love this mold anymore than I all ready did!

 

Apparently we've all gotten a BH Jackie we needed to cannibalize. The downside is though that his ion shotgun doesn't fit well into his hand now, as Wheeljack's hands are a little bit too big. However, several other weapons do now, including many that come with IGear's Ironhide. Ironically enough, with a little work you can get him to hold Faith Leader's cannon as well and it looks in decent proportion to him. Which is funny given Faith Leader can't really hold it despite having articulated hands....

 

To everyone who is wondering the hands don't sit completely flush but you do have to make sure they are flipped down all the way like in the pictures
