I know when it comes to hyped up new figures, especially for a new TF movie, he who gets the custom paint job up first gets the oohs and ahhs and there have already been plenty. Still I wanted to show what I did to my own.

This is the only figure in the entire AoE line I was actually excited to get. I did exactly what I'd planned to do to it when i first saw a pic of the figure.

I kept his G1-esque alt mode the same (love it as it is) then went to town adding just the needed details to make it a great representation of how Optimus could have looked from the beginning. The figure was already a great merging of G1 and movie Optimus. I just set out to flesh it out a bit more.

I thought about removing the clip handle of his Megatron shotgun and adding a peg to the actual handle, but then i decided I liked the idea that Prime modified it to be more like a rifle, which fits the G1 merging look better.

I like your improvements. Looks really good. I had trouble with mine transforming it and the front grille/ stomach snapped off. I thought of replacing him but bought Rhinox instead.

Of all the custom Evasion Primes that I've seen, I think this is my favorite. I really appreciate the clean paint job and it just looks smooth. Great work!

That is an awesome paint job! Only question I have is how even does it look with using a brush vs an airbrush. I want to add some silver accents to mine, but don't want to invest in an airbrush system.

There are several brands of spray paint you can use that look pretty convincingly metal. Testors metals, Krylon makes some. Just mask parts carefully and it works great. It's really tough to make metallic paints look right with a brush. It can be done, but it's really tricky.

This paint job looks absolutely amazing and is EXACTLY what the figure needs.
