I've found Skywarp to be especially useful if you're playing solo and I also like Remnant because the ammo and health sations are right next to each other. And you can fly to them, refill and fly back to the perch before the cloak runs out. I've made it as far as wave 4 doing that solo.

YouTube - Transformers War for Cybertron Escalation - Static Gameplay

This video goes through the first door I spoke about, which opens a door to the right immediately that leads to the Overshield room. If you enter the Overshield room and look at the door at the (middle) left -- you open that door. Then, when you enter that room to the right is the door that leads to the scrapmaker..

Yea, and leave the door at the far end closed to keep you from getting ambushed from both sides. Gotta have traffic control..

LOL, the shotgunners show up around wave 4, no wonder you go down so fast.

That's good to know about the shotgunners although I tend to die for stupid reasons which are completely my fault. Like I'll try to cloak and fly to the heal station only fail at both and fall right in the middle of the wave getting both meleed and crossfired. Or on top of that, I'll then focus so much on getting back to my perch that I'll forget to use my abilities like whirlwind to kill what's killing me and then cloaking so at least I'm not getting shot AND meleed. So I guess the moral of the story is if you lose your perch, don't panic LOL.

If you are in Remnant and doing solos pick up a Photon Burst Rifle and get outside the map when the shotgunners show up. You can take them out with 4 head shot bursts. If you are Skywarp it should be no problem getting in and out if you time your cloaking just right and you should be able to do more than 20 waves if you don't die of eternal boredom first...

In this thread I don't support glitching. I support pushing the limits of the levels (Bridges in broken hope, sitting on top of the arches in District) the only times I glitch is to answer the phone, or to play games that aren't escalation like "trippy lights in space" :lol  I kill things inside the map. that is all

I don't like doing it either but it is a necessary evil for bathroom breaks or private solo's where you want to experiment which is exactly what the person I responded to is doing -- a solo match in Remnant which is suicide any way you look at it no matter how good you are unless you leave the map.

I personally will not do any glitching in a serious match since it reduces the overall strength and fire power of the team. I find it annoying when people do it while the rest of us wrestle with the entire wave alone and would kick people out if it were possible to do so for doing it.

Oh yeah man. I always go to the bathroom before I start to play, and I haven't ever ran into glitchers before thankfully.

Yeah, Remnant is one tough stage. Heck, I think it's one of the hardest stages. Getting to wave 10 is something I've never been able to do. I've gotten farther on District.

Well not that this is a great standard to go by, but I last a lot longer playing solo on remnant than any of the other stages so far, mostly because the ammo/health stations are right there and right next to each other. Having to fly around half that map looking for health when you're already low is a death sentance.

Nehusthan's right, I'm experimenting. Trying to get my skills up so that I can be a better team player in public matches, but capable enough to solo the remainder of a match if I have to. I'm also trying to learn the maps and where things are although, unlike MP where you can solo a match and just explore it enemy free, you can't do that in escalation.

You have to open 3 doors on one side or the other and stop! If you open the overshield door (there's one one each side) you effectively just screwed yourself because now you're going to get swarmed from the front and the rear. If you have a good feel for the Magma Frag Launcher I would suggest opening the 3 doors on the left side since the healing ray is there and stopping. Then, open all the doors on the opposite side so you have an overshield room to get to should you need one and leave the other side sealed off so you can camp out and bombard the enemies.. I think I've gotten like 18 or 19 waves but it wasn't easy and we almost died every round from about 14 on up. It helps tremendously to have ammo beacon, healing grenades and a healing ray. It is very hard which is why its my favorite stage right now.. You have too make use of the blocks available for taking cover in this stage. They are very effective strategically for Remnant.

It would be nice if we could get a room that had both in the same room apart from the open floor. The overshield rooms have a free ammo spawn area next to the overshield stations but the duration between spawns is too great. If you're on PSN hit me up and we'll do some exploring together in that stage..

I always thought that Renmant was much tougher than Broken Hope. I want to start liking the Decepticon maps. Static is HUGE. But I hate District.

So does anyone else use the ion sentry turrets in pulse? They help kill and draw fire from you since enemies will attack them. Remember once seeing 2 titans and some mg drones just distracted shooting at one lol.

Bravo. This annoys me to no end when I get surrounded and hammered while guys are screwing around outside the map.

And last night while playing Remnant, I experienced a first. While I was cleaning house two kids decided to play tag. They'd chase each other around in alt-mode then transform and melée attack to make a tag. It was almost like soloing. Needless to say when the Titans showed up and ended the game, I didn't feel much like saving anyone...

Enimies attack those? Really. I've never seen them do that.

Of course, I've only activated an Ion sentry myself only once. It didn't do a whole lot, it didn't kill a single enemy the entire time it was up. :lol

The repair sentries aren't bad though. Pricey, but pretty convinient if your team is surrounded, it saved the life of my team this one time we were playing in District.

I don't know about anyone else, but Broken hope is really boring to me now. I've got the map all figured out, it seems too dull now each time I play it. I wish more people would buy atleast DLC pack 1, I love to play on those maps.

....so I'm finally beginning to show improvement in Escal.

Some thoughts. I stay with the mainline weapon for most of the early Waves, primarily focused on healing and re-arming.

I try to stay with in close proximity to at least one of my team mates, to heal him possibly but mainly for unified fire support and as Ratchet/ Soundwave throw up a energy shield and turret

Level 8 and beyond, i really suggets leaving that John Rambo stuff alone.
the intensity shifts almost noticeably and the enemies have a definite killer instinct.

Here it is imperative that the team stays together, blue tooth or not, stay together, using all your abilities when neccesary, otherwise, acting as combat medics.

Last nite, one of the guys went down, another went over to heal him and I threw a energy barrier in front of them while attacking the enemies swarming in to kill them both.

they both survived and i escorted the recently fallen to a med repair unit...

team work is more than a cliche'

No, I haven't been urged to use them in Pulse. The first several waves are pretty intense if you don't have 4 players. I did see someone activate it once on our team. It served for good cover fire and to weaken enemies if you use the turret itself as a shield. The turrets don't give point credit to you nor anybody else for kills so I am usually against them for no other reason but that... However, sometimes you have to do what you have to do at times and that's understandable.

    LOL!

If I am messing with glitches I usually host an "invite only" map and warn my friends that I am fooling around outside the map or just exploring or whatever. I make a habit out of using my PSN ID comment to communicate that so folks know that before they join the match. However, I am quick to abandon that for a good run if the right folks are online.

Yes, they also shoot at the sentries spawned by certain transformers as well. You have to strategically spawn your turret in a place where it will be most effective and will not be shot down. Can't do much about those Ion turrets though because they are stationary. All you can do is use the turret as a shield and fire away from one side or the other.

How far did you guys make it!??

That's great to hear. I remember when it all "clicked" for me too. I was so lost playing escalation. I didn't understand anything that was going on since I was a straight MP fanatic for most of July and August. I learned the hard way that this wasn't MP.. LOL

Yesterday, I got some waves in with Langrisser in Forsaken and we pretty much mopped the floor with Decepticons. We had 3 guys with healing rays (a bit of an overkill) then another friend of mine joined us around Wave 20 with Zeta Prime and it was a wrap after that.. We camped out by the Overshield/Healing Grenade stations we all kept healing grenades in our pocket. We finally killed ourselves in Wave 35 to call it a night.

Oh, man I just got done playing with Langrisser today, man is that guy a good player!

We were playing on Foresaken, the Autobot Map, and man we had a good thing going. I was playing as Silverbolt, him as Air Raid. We'd mainly stick together and take down enimies side by side. We'd each blow points on doors and guns, and if I got downed, he'd be there to heal me. (He never gets downed. NEVER.)

We each were armed with Scrapmakers and Repair Rays. We were doing so well, only leaving eachother's side to buy ammo.

Guess what? My controller dies at the beginning of wave eleven. I was searching frantically for it, but I couldn't find it. I headed back into the room, and found that he and I had both died. And I still couldn't find the thing after minutes of searching, there was no way to communicate with him, and i was the host, so I couldn't start the match. I had no choice but to turn off the PS3.

I hope he isn't too mad at me. :(

nehushtan thanks for showing the remnant map tip (glitch). you just added 2-3 weeks extra to my wfc playtime.

any more nifty glitches for the other maps to help solo?

me and my mates are also struggling to reach wave 15 on remnant the traditional way. We specifically want to use at least: megatron, starcream, soundwave, and any other that will help them. any character tips?

we reached wave 13 splitting up in 2s and not opening the doors to the os, but 1 team got overwhelmed, so wondering if we should open 1 os to get os, and then camp with 4 or us or still split up?

Make sure SOMEONE has a Magma Frag Launcher, I'd recommend more than one. The utility of that weapon cannot be overstated. Also make sure a stable (i.e., non-Rambo type) has a healing ray. If you open an OS door on Remnant, you will get swarmed but guys with those two things will make your life a little easier. Also invest in some mines too.

    Add any of the following:
    Skywarp
    Dead-End
    Slipstream
    Demolishor
    T-Crack

Shockwave and Starscream are the same character essentially. only difference is that Shockwave's melee is a thousand times better then starscream's
