EpicHeroes.com - SCAM I bought some toys from EpicHeroes.com about 11 days ago. I have send emails, forms, and i have got no response from them. Is the store a real one? Any idea how contact them? I had already paid about 30 pounds for international shipping, so i rather not call which is expensive. Besides, i'm GMT -3, so we have like 5 hours difference. Any ideas? ------- UPDATE ------ More than 2 months later, i still haven't got the products. Not only that but they charge you right away, not when they ship. They kept telling next week, as they are supposedly out of stock. So 3 days ago, i asked for a refund, and never again heard from them. Tried to call the phone number listed on their web page, but it is disconnected. I have filled a complain with VISA. ------- UPDATE 2 ------ Just got email from them that they would refund me. I would update in a couple of days. ------- UPDATE 3 ------ Finally, after some long 2 months, i got my money back.
Personally, of they are not responding to you. Send them a message with a deadline to contact you, if they fail file a claim with your CC or Paypal. That will get thier attention. I hate when people are not willing to respond to you once they have your money. Never heard of them before your post though... Hope it work out.
Well, i actually ended up here after searching for "epicheroes.com sca.m" (don't want to use the full word so far. And it appears there is a admin? member here: EpicHeroes.com's Profile - TFW2005 - The 2005 Boards
13 posts since 2004? very odd Edit: from the website: EHUK-Update 30/05/2010 *Plz note we are currently on Vacation. You can place orders as normal but nothing will ship till 10/06/2010.
I don't know about you, but if they can update their website 2 days ago, surely they can at least respond to an 11 day ago email
The guys at Epic Heroes are generally very good. They have a physical shop in Edgeware, London and I actually sold stuff on their behalf at Auto Assembly 2005. If they say they're on holiday, I'd take their word for it - the email could have possibly been overlooked.
Do they really still have that shop? Went in there a few years ago, quite expensive but they had some cool stuff. They're not scammers that's for sure. Persevere.
Up to a few years ago, i used them regularly. Then for some reason or other they were slow to answer my email, and they developed several consecutive stock issues. As that point i stopped. Dishonest. Probably not. Eratic. Probably.
I would wait till they return to re-check, but i feel really bad about this. I got the usual automatic confirmation emails, and then nothing. I sent an email to one of their email addresses, i got a not found account error.
Update: I just realized there is an error on their contact page. It says to send an email to [email protected], but if you click the email, it is linked to "[email protected]". So, that might explain the first email error.
yeah no worries about epicheroes, used to use them all the time before i discovered xybertoys (and later kapow toys)
Hello. I have purchased from them before and they are legit. They did have a shop in Edgware but that closed a few years back. They are now an online only store.
UPDATE: More than 2 months later, i still haven't got the products. They kept telling next week, as they are supposedly out of stock. So 3 days ago, i asked for a refund, and never again heard from them. Tried to call the phone number listed on their web page, but it is disconnected. I have filled a complain with VISA.
Sorry to hear about this. It seems they may have taken a turn for the worse. Good luck with getting your money back.
Thanks. I keep trying to contact them at 0208-537-5534, but it says disconnected. Can somebody from UK try calling and see if that is the case?
I had a quick go, and it seemed to ring (I hung up after one ring though). Are you entering the international code for the UK before it?
I only ordered from epic heroes once. Movie one leader brawl. Ordered him summertime. Got him after christmas. So... yeah, not too reliable in my experience, but you will get what you bought, eventually. Never cancelled from them, so I can't comment on that. Once was enough.
