I noticed this Italian Gig Diaclone commercial had English audio with Italian spoken OVER the English. Anyone ever seen English Diaclone commercials?

Also Soundwave with Italian with Micronauts bopper missiles and fighting Microchange orb robots? Weird.

Until they reached the US, the projectiles actually fired from the launchers. Kids had injuries & production was changed. In the US the springs were removed. In Europe, GiG complied with local safety laws by inserting safety bumper projectiles instead of the original ones. I am not familiar with Ceji/Joustra's France production to know if they also did the same.

Additionally, for those of us that do not know the history of G1 Megatron in the US & the eventual legal problems resulting in the toy's production ban - he was special in that he had two major legal hurdles. You will see Megatron models from Asia that actually fired plastic bullets. Add to that the representation of a realistic firearm & children were accidently shot by police. The resulting law changes & bans were just a matter of time with Megatron sadly. I know I'm not alone in losing him to customs / law enforcement.

It's a nice variant in the production line as there are at least 4 different projectiles depending upon the original projectiles & the length & design of the launcher involved. There are at least yellow & black bumper or black & red bumper versions depending on production. They were standardized across the launchers internal design & the projectile grab piece for the launcher. Made my collecting of Soundwave & Devastator interesting to say the least over the years.
