Minor/Repaint: Energon Scorponok hip articulation

    Dug this guy out recently and saw that it would be pretty easy to mod the hip to let the legs flex sideways.

    Just cut away the hip plastic that interferes with the black hip attachment. This is one of those times when it seems to me that Hasbro could have actually used less plastic and made the figure better. (Other considerations must have prevented them from designing it this way, but I can't think of what those might have been.)

    The new joint is held by friction and holds about any pose. I also gave him useful ankle tilt by swapping the lower legs around.

    I literally just did this to my Skorponok the other day I'm glad someone else had the same idea!

    This makes me want to get the black zarack version and do it to him
    I love this alot and it really improves on an already great figure.

    Has anyone ever made replacements for the shoulders? 3D printed or new mold? I'm afraid to transform mine due to the GPS shoulder joints.

    Nice job on the Hip mod! Maybe I'll try it if I can replace the shoulders?

    This is great, love that new innovations are possible even on a twenty (!) year old figure. I'm going to have to add ths to the list of things I'll never have time to actually sit down and do.
