I was interested in buying a Takara Twin Twist. Unless Topspin is highly superior, I'll pass on him as I already have the Hasbro release.

 

I still have the original releases of RID Prime and Magnus in storage. I also have a feeling that the set will be in the $150 to $200 range.

I paid $20 each when KB Toys was around way back in 2000-2001, both were on sale (originally $40 each).

 

It's funny, I was unpacking a box yesterday from a move that has God Fire Convoy in it. Forgot how much heft that toy had. Since he's been packed away for a while, I forgot how much weight the older toys had compared to the new ones. Mine's still in good shape, so depending on the price, I might pick up an Encore one, if they don't make changes to it. IF they make changes to it, there will be no hesitation. Wonder if they are reissuing him since Black Convoy got released and Ruination. From what some of my friends in Japan told me, they both sold pretty well; especially for only being repaints.

 

God Fire Convoy! I hope he comes with the Brave Max sword, but either way that guy is bought!

It's still amazing to me that Fire Convoy still holds up to today's TF standards.

 

The original didn't :-(

It had the blade, mounted on a spear so God Fire Convoy could hold it, but not the handle so Brave Max could hold it.

If you want both, you'll need a Master Sword KO.

 

Oh that's what I was referring to, never got the Takara original, so if it means a chance to get it, well, all the better! Super Fire Convoy is what brought me back to TFs, thanks in part to TFW2005, so this reissue is a huge thing for me.

Kind too. The chrome chest turned blue though. I foolishly passed on Ultra Magnus as a kid for a Digimon figure and have regretted it since. Maybe I can rectify that mistake.

 

Was he really that great? I loved my Super Mode Optimus a whole lot.

After the rampant QC problems of Encore Fort Max, I'd be surprised if they do Brave Max.

 

seaspray + rione = definite purchase (seems takara is claiming most of my TR legends class purchases)

topspin + twintwist x targetmaster = need to see colored images, since i have US twintwist

fire god convoy = i never saw him, but this pic...

he's as big as a CW combiner! that's my type of big! let me see where this goes...

Dammit! That means they're not going to include the guns that are easily some of the best weapons from the whole line just to force someone else's Targetmasters on them. Worst of all is that their vehicle modes don't look as good without their guns! *sigh* I was expecting Takara to improve things...

Anyway, probably getting Seaspray.
