If I'm gonna pay ENCORE prices I'd rather track down the Nemesis Prime repaint.

I’m glad I got a Sonokong Big Convoy from BBTS for cheap years ago. I also have the Nemesis Prime and Ultra Mammoth versions.

Yeah I'd buy that - I pretty much have too - since I already have the Original the Hasbro Nemesis, The TFCC Ultra Magnus, & Black (and gold) Big Convoy, It seems "just" different enough to warrant a re-buy. ( So long as it's not an idiotic price like $180)

I'd love that Blue one if they decide to release it in obtainable numbers.

Yes I also agree a Matching Magmatron would be nice too.

I'll echo the comment sentiment here: the price will SUCK. :(

I'd be on board for most of these Encore releases, if not that the price usually penalizes you for being nostalgic.

Nostalgia is a weird thing. In toy form, it's like they cloned an old girlfriend and are offering you a trip down memory lane for a premium. God... did I just have a pre-apocalyptic, Total-Recall vision of the future? :lol

There were about a million Sonokong Big Convoys on eBay for dirt cheap (at least when I bought mine; I think I paid $30). And just to be clear, Sonokongs were not KOs, they were the actual Takara toys in different packaging.

I’m sure the Encore BC is going to be way more than that, but I’ll happily pay whatever ridiculous money they’re gonna sell Big Blue Convoy for.

Are there any more of the Sonokong ones floating around?

Obviously not, otherwise we wouldn’t be getting an Encore release.

I still regret not picking one up a few years ago. They were literally $30, and now they go for at least $95-100.

Nah, I think the source has "dried out" ;)

Jokes aside, I haven't seen any recently, and the Encore version looks so much better IMO that I gladly pay more to get that one.

Wow. The anime colors look pretty sharp. If they did the blue LD version, man, that would be really tempting.

Big Convoy for most of the early 2000's was one of my favorite Transformer molds, I've got regular, Black Big Convoy (Who was my personal favorite) and the later Nemesis Primal. All three have been in display in my home since I moved out, though on different shelves and are among a small handful that never changed over the years when I'd shift some back to storage or put others out.

It would be nice if Hasbro reissued Nemesis under the Platinum Edition label.

Sadly, it seems said label is dead.

May not be as much of an increase as those. On those, they added sound clips and stuff. But do expect over 50-60 USD for this. How far over, not sure, but I doubt it'll go over 100 USD. This isn't one that has any room to add electronics to. So unless they make it a two figure pack, it likely won't go too high. So this might be one of the less expensive Encore releases.

Big Convoy isn't Leader size, he's Voyager.

You can still find them on eBay sometimes but they go for as much as the Takara one goes for these days.
Isn’t he closer to the old Ultra class size?

he was originally an ultra which is closer to a leader than a voyager. same size class as Rampage and Depth Charge. the megas of Beast Wars were few and far between, but they were the closest analogy at the time to a voyager.

Ultra for the most part are more bulked out Mega figures with a little more height. They're nowhere near Leader size.
