they already did a really good job with beast wars 2 so i have faith in their quality

 

I like the colors but I'm also curious to see if the mold still holds up after all this time.

seem to remember the God Fire Convoy pack having issues & this is older than both of those toys.

 

If you think the fact that, just a few short months ago, I picked up the original Big Convoy 100% complete with all accessories, box, instructions and even those little character cards means I’m not going to buy this, then you are sadly mistaken. I could buy a thousand Big Convoys and never get sick of that mold. It’s fantastic.

Oh hell yes, he looks amazing!

Also, a small thing I noticed which everyone who owns this toy already knows about: He actually has a sculpted grill underneath his chest when you open the Matrix Chamber - that's a nice little detail, very Prime-esque!  

 

I like this better than my original, might be a get for me. Love the paint, and it looks more show accurate imo.

 

Epic, but I definitively wait to be sure this figure has no QC issues. ON the original release all pieces fit perfectly in both modes. I don't want to end with warped panels if I get the Encore.

 

Thanks for the link. Preordered. Surprised that the shipping on this figure is identical to that of MP Megatron which is a heck of a lot bigger and heavier...

Only thing I don't like about amazon jp is that they slap a sticker on everything

 

Sigh, I already own a copy of the original, and the universe "nemesis" version, that I don't need another version of it.

I find the robot mode, that while, yes, the yellow is more anime accurate, there's now too much yellow, it's too garnished, too loud, too much of an eye sore, and where did the all the silver go?! I just like the original's robot mode so much better, with the silver and gold highlights and the less is more take of the yellow, which was a brownish yellow color. I didn't mind the translucent red parts through out the bot mode's original figure, either.

However, the beast mode is a thousand times better than the original, the power rangers zord green eyes are replaced with living animal eyes similar to the universe recolor of the ultra class optimus primal, and the color is just more unified, right down to the feet and brings out the foot details, instead of the gradient wash that just really washes the detail of feet right out, that it looks like legs ends in stumps with no foot contrasting colors to bring those details out, even though the toe nails were painted.

Sigh, I may buy him again just to live in the more superior beast mode on my shelf, but it'll be a less of a priority buy depending on the final price, and I already own this version twice already, and I'm still standing by one mold per character buying/shelf space restriction. I'm more than likey to not buy it in the end if I'm honest to myself.
