Well I was the same way with Masterpiece 11 Starscream. It wasn't a top priority, but when I found for super cheap I just couldn't resist. But I felt guilty cause it was over a hundred bucks that I could have spent on something like furniture.

But after I got it, I opened it, and it's just freaking awesome and I don't regret it at all.

So I just put Fort Max on pre-order....I still have about 2 weeks to change my mind, but now I've at least locked in that awesome price. 19,999 yen delivered right to my front door.

 

200 for a Fort Max is a great deal and glad you pulled the trigger cause these guys now exactly what their talking about to the T. Thats 1 reason why I read these threads cause I listen for help on info that I need for something I am looking to buy in the TF world.

 

Glad I didn't have to slap you. Many of us would kill to get it for only $200. (ok maybe just stab)

But only $20 to ship with in the US eh? I am soooo sooo sooo jealous of your shipping rates. We get bitch slaped here in Canada.

TFSource reduced shipping was $53. Regular from the US is about $85 and from overseas over $100. No breaks for Canadians, le sigh.

 

Me and two friends were able to get Fortmax from Tfsource for $325 each with free shipping. We simply ordered together and got a discount automatically for ordering multiples.

Kind of makes me wish I didn't order at Captured Prey and I would order from Amazon.JP!!

Even buying it from Amazon Japan for $200 ish, shipping and service charge kills the deal. Using Tenso, as an example, adds over $150 is service and shipping fees. Local import stores are still the way to go.

 

Buying a single piece is always expensive compare to buying in bulk because of combine shipping.

 

BBTS estimates the shipping weight for one to be almost 15 lbs. Good luck with combining more than one of those and shipping it from Japan.
 

 

Pile of loot works well for some items like Fortress Maximus.

 

Using a proxy and ordering 2 of them comes out to be $560, or $280 each shipped. Still the lowest price I've been able to find with shipping to North America.

 

just got mail back from etoysjapan, i asked if they know more about the shipping rate, got this message:

"Sorry to say that there is still no confirmed data for this item and so we can not estimate the shipping fee. However, we are having the carton ordered for this item and currently EMS SPeedPost is having a great value package for heavy item. We'll see what we can do to provide good shipping rate. Just the carton itself weights around 1600g. We will consider sending surface as well"

well, at least he'll be well packed for shipping  

 

May I ask which service? The service charge alone at Tenso was over 10,000¥.
 

 

Amazon.jp don't ship to the UK   oh well seems like the amount I'm paying for mine, $380 inc shipping is in line with most retailers. Just a few more weeks to go.

Lol Shipping via Tenso is Y24,000 to the UK. Though I think 14kg is probably a little high, I mean Unicron was less than 2kg.

I am so freakin excited for this release now. I get to go to japan! meet a friend! and nab fort max, what more can I ask for this year.

 

argh!!!! real life intrudes and i am forced to cancel my fort max preorder as my PC is dying and i need to purchase a new one. i was hoping to holds off replacing it until after I got fort max but its just not gonna make it.

I hope to get him a few months from now when i have saved up again. Hopefully the $329 price on BBTS holds that long.
