Manufactured in 1988 ... mine still looks good to me:

And I'm 99% sure it's a straight-up reissue. No significant tooling changes so therefore no change in articulation.

Sorry but that aint happening. The reissue will never hit the vintage levels of worth. The reason is that there will be more reissues to choce from in MIB/MISB state as there are more collectors now. There are far far fewer MISB Max's or heck even minty MIB ones.

This goes for all reissues and not Max alone. The really good specimens of vintage items will in 99% always hold their value because there are so few of them. Especially when you are starting to look a the MIB/MISB area of G1.

however I am sure Encore Max will rise in value once he is sold out. How much is another thing but it wont be near vintage levels. So for those who really want one I suggest you take one now before he gets more expensiv. I already have a boxed vintage oen so I dont care for one, but its a nice opertunety for many, dont waste it.

Now ehobby were is my Grand Max..you absterds :p

Enough to make a grown man cry.

I hope you hug that thing every now and then, cause if I had that, I totally would.

And third parties: Where are our Pretender shells?!

Don't get me wrong, I love that this is being reissued and think Grand would be great as well. I just don't know that I want to give up twice the shelf space, to say nothing of the additional cost, for 1 accessory.

I don't think I have a hat big enough for his noggin.

These bowler hats might fit on Fortress/Cerebros tho.
