They look okay to ME. I'm buying them. Gotta be better then the Ruination that I repainted. I like that they're darker to fit the animation too.

Yes I always the turret in front was the correct way and that he looks more badass for some reason.

Oh please...I am 4 years over 30!!! And there are probably PLENTY on here older than me! We're still pups!

I'm pretty sure that's the way he was depicted in G1.

Turret in back was used for Battle Gaia and I think Baldigus/Ruination.

So..what i keep noticing on the pics of the encore release version are that the legs don't line up with each other - is that how it's supposed to be? Or is that a mold issue?

You're talking about Bruticus's legs or each individual member? Seems like the original Bruticus had uneven legs also but I think it was better if Brawl was attached correctly...

Ruin - ya, sorry, i meant combined bruticus. I would assume that they should be in line, but haven't seen a pic where they do indeed line up. Oh well. Was just curious.

I got mine today, and the quality is very good. There was one rough spot on Onslaught's right leg, but I'm sure mine was an exception.

The new cassette reissue and this arrived today. Tapes plastic quality is terrible, mismatched colors. Slugfest reissue looks cheap plastic flaming pink next to the original. Steeljaw is just kinda sad. But bruticus looks really poor. Like some have said he looks like a knockoff next to an original. Especially with the casting flash and more translucent silver bruticus parts. What a shame, since HLJ's crap packing ruined the box.

I'm glad that I am not the only one to enjoy the Bruticus reissue. I'm happy with mine also. With regards to the cannon problem...er, I can overlook it as I will either display this encore set in combined mode or as a group! LOL!

I'm disappointed with the lack of metal and the combiner bits being milky and not good silver, but I'll still look at picking this up. Maybe we can swing a Battle Gaia E-Hobby!

If what is being said is true about mold degradation, I really don't think we need an eHobby exclusive of this set, unfortunately...

The gray isn't 'milky' at all, it's not silver, but a medium-dark metallic gray.

Funny thing is, you can get complete 1986 or 1990 (Classics) G1 Bruticus in C9 shape on Ebay for much less then this.... The point of reissues should be to make these toys avaliable at a LOWER PRICE then the originals. Or to re-issue rare toys, like the 87 Dinocasettes or Liokaiser... But Bruticus? He is the most common gestalt, I had sold at least 2 complete ones over the years I have been collecting, and some of his limbs, Swindle in particular, rival the Jumpstarters as the most common TFs.
