Okay, so from experience with previous encore toys, where would be the cheapest place to pick up Omega Supreme from after shipping is factored in???

Good question...Omega Supreme is the first toy I've considered importing (outside of Ebay), and I only know a couple places to look.

It's ALWAYS cheaper to order directly from Asia. Ordering from BBTS, TFSource, or Digital Toys will be more expensive because you are paying for them to ship it to their warehouse, and then again to ship it to you, ON TOP of the cost of the item.

I would recommend www.hlj.com or Fan2Fan. If HLJ stocks it, you can get the Early Bird discount, as well as only having to pay shipping once.

See, I just thought I made my username up. Now I have to get one. Sometime after I get the reissue Omega Supreme, though.

Sounds good to me. I have a good bit of experience with HLJ, but not a whole lot of TF experience in recent years since I've mainly gotten items from other shows from them so I didn't really know if they'd be the best TF dealer since there are quite a few now.

Omega's going to be tempting, but there are too many other things that have to come first.

    Dammit.

Oh well....so much for broken and lost molds. And so much for the Bandai and belonging to this and that company by blabber mouth knowitall fanboys. At least this proves that people dont know whats going on over there in Asia when it comes to reissues. People should learn to keep their mouth shut.

At least the bottom line is that I will get Omega finally.

Just curious, does anybody know how tall Omega Supreme is in robot mode, including the wings on his back? I know I'll need to get some new shelves if I plan on displaying him in botmode, just wandering what the minimal shelf height would accomodate him. I might end up displaying him in his alt-mode. It would make for a nice base scene with some of the smaller Autobots that I have.

That's a big harsh. Just because Takara is now able to reissue certain figures that they weren't able to before, doesn't make what people said back then false, it just means that Takara was somehow (I'm not sure how) able to get the rights to reissue them recently. As for the broken molds, we'll just have to take Hasbro's and Takara's words that they actually are (Dinobots are a good example here).

God this saves me having to bother finding and shilling out the cash for a vintage Omega Supreme.

I can get me one nice and MISB (to open and display of course ;) ) for less than a hundred bucks.

    Mmm

Is the exclusion of gears from the minibot set, a delibrate move to differentiate it from the earlier tfc version or the sign is just a place holder subjected to change?

ahh, a vintage mib Omega isn't worth that much more than $120 anyways (maybe $150-200? I got one for $150 working w/ clips this summer on ebay BIN). And if the vintage value's not too much more it shouldn't drop much anyways as some would always rather have it for its vintageness.
