have any of you guys seen this movie? my wife took me to a sneak preview months ago, and i thought it was totally fun, and so i just bought it for her and we watched it again and its a blast. its a great mix or parody and homage for classic disney....and i think its just a fun spin on the fairy tale story too... its really one of the best disney movies (that doesnt involve pixar) to have come out in YEARS....and is probably in the top ten all time best disney, IMHO, again probably excluding everything pixar has done. this movie does the same thing for fairy tale stories that shaun of the dead did to zombie movies... lastly, amy adams is just too hot...
Yeah, I saw it with my family back when it came out. It's very very funny and, as you stated, just a great parody on every disney fairy tale princess, prince & villainess. I bought it today, but I haven't had a chance to rewatch it yet.
My girlfriend wanted to go see it so we checked it out in theaters. I actually got quite a kick out of it. I thought it was an amusing concept. We bought the Blu-Ray too
My wife raved about it when I was in Japan. I watched it on the 14-hour flight home, and liked it a lot. Definetly better than what I had given it credit for. I watched it a second time when we got the DvD here a few days back.
Wow, this is one of those movies that I was blowing off as teeny cash-in chick flick crap, but apparently it is great. I'll have to check it out.
Got it for my Daughter as an Easter gift and saw it Sunday Morning. I thought it was a really fun movie. Good for those who want to rent a movie for a date night.
I got the blu ray and I really loved it. It was a good mix of a lot of different Disney movies. I really enjoyed it.
it was okay. something which u can watch with the missus that she loves while at the same thime wont make you gag. much.
My favorite movie from Disney studios since the first Pirates movie and 'Lilo and Stitch.' Personally, I liked it better than 'Cars' and 'Ratatouille.' -Tony!
I haven't seen it, but I've seen bits of it. Not overly thrilled, but my sister loved it and has it so I may end up seeing the whole thing eventually. KA speaks the truth.
I thought this looked ridiculously stupid when I saw the trailer last year, but my mother in law checked it out from the library for my kids to watch, so we gave it a spin. We watched it last weekend and it was almost disturbingly good. I was shocked. It's not as good as Pixar for me, but definitely better than the turds Disney proper has been crapping out for the last 15 years. Interesting story arc (particularly the way it twists the traditional Disney princess happy ending in a different direction), funny, probably has a lot of repeat play value as you try to spot all the in jokes and references to old Disney flicks. I liked it. We don't buy a lot of movies anymore, but I'd probably pick the Blu Ray up on sale or BOGO.
oh, side trivia note, patrick demsey's secretary is the voice actress for ariel in the little murmaid... EDIT: holy crap...here's a massive list of disney references throughout enchanted
i went to see it purely because my girlfriend wanted to see it and i ended up enjoying it more than she did! Its a very good film.
Ok now I have to watch it. I didn't think it was this kind of movie. I thought it was another Knight in LA type movie. I'll give it a rent this weekend. Thanks for the heads-up on it. I discover more cool shit from the people here than I do from news sites.
Word-of-mouth advertising is a good thing when you can get it to work! (Hell, the shinki cult is almost entirely based on that...)
