Another one for fans of the classic Marvel run: it's Emirate Xaaron!

Is Emirate his name? Is it a title? Who cares, he's just a wily old buzzard who likes to lead the Autobot resistance on Cybertron when he's not acting as a vessel for Primus.

    He sure loves GOooOLD.

To break up all that gold, I gave him his traditional orange pants and accented his hands with the same colour, whilst leaving some black details as is. Whilst I'm aware his head/thighs are meant to be silver, this was represented in the old comics with a reflective blue tint, so I switched the silver for a light metallic blue which really pops against the sea of gold.

Not sure why I cut the forehead details so deep. Either it was an accident or I intended to fill in the bottom parts later, but I've decided to keep it for now as it differentiates the head sculpt further from the original Megatron.

No alt mode pics as we all know that would probably kill him/wear off some gold paint.

Instead, here's some recreations of classic comic panels: that awkwardly posed shot with Impactor, and that time Ultra Magnus almost executed Optimus Prime. (How we laughed at that one!)

One final note: for such a senior Autobot figure, he sure doesn't like having an Autobrand on him much. I may add one at a later date, but it does seem at odds with his iconic appearance!

As always, thanks for viewing! Comments welcome, will answer any questions you have when I can!

I believe that this is the third (fourth?) time I've seen a Cyberverse Megs recolored into a Xaaron.

Still, great job. The gold looks nice.

I've only seen one by @Autobot00 using the same base figure, though they removed the alt mode kibble. There's another that uses the Warrior class release too.

Design and size-wise, both are a pretty good fit!

looks good. i went with the straight silver but that blue looks really good. like a cold steel. I removed the arm and back kibble cuz i wasnt really planning on transforming him for the same reasons you mentioned.

Honestly I wouldn't have thought that he'd scale so perfectly with siege figures, but it works out super well

Thanks! I just customised the original head with Milliput, added the wraparound the back of his head, cut channels into his forehead and then created his iconic mouth grill. This last bit was very fiddly, but I'm pretty happy with the result.

The gold is by a company called PlastiKote and the blue/silver is a custom mix of Tamiya paints, possibly Chrome Silver with a bit of Metallic Blue (I made it ages ago, so this is just a guess).

    Steal away! :D

Yeah, I've always seen Xaaron as a small-ish Deluxe, but as scale in the old comics varied wildly from issue to issue there's nothing definitive. This size just feels right for him!

    High praise, thanks!
