It says "Kill James....", for those who can't hear it.
IF it gets programmed to know names and such, it could've been something the MOM programmed in to get attention.
Kill James... kill james... kill james... *picks up a knife* kill james... kill james... it's ok... Elmo told me to kill james... kill james... Elmo said so... @_@
I saw that. It is saying "TELL James..." as in "Tell James that if we make up a story about me saying to kill you, that we can get on TV and possibly sue the toy maker down the line..."
Yeah, there is. The mom kept saying that her little boy was repeating the phrase, but not one time did we actually hear the boy say it. And, if you ask me, it could be saying anything that sounds like "kill". Like the word "tell" that was mentioned earlier.
Those toys download names out of a program. You can't make it say KILL or control the phrase unless that was in the system already. All you can do is select a name from a list and tell the doll to say it, the phrases stay the same. So it is designed to say his name. I have used these types of toys and there is no way that she could have programmed it to say "KILL JAMES". Now KILL may be another word, I don't know and it sounds funny. Maybe she should try new batteries?
