I do completely agree it's down to your own importance. I just feel we have moved on from very static looking articulation when our Legends class figures are out posing masterpiece ones then it's time to step up your game

Considering I own both TE-01 and MP-44, I would like to say it’s possible liking both and not having to choose one over the other. Although I love my MP44 right now, I still love TE-01 for its toon look.

Not a slight at anyone but I've always felt that if we want to maximize the articulation for a figure it's best done to a non transforming figure, like Flame Toys and 3A are doing.

Well played sir. Nice to see some common sense.

Why limit options? You can have your cake and eat it.

For me, that just takes away the point of the figure, which the whole reason I don't by Marvrl Legends, SH Figuarts, Mafex, etc. I was one of those kids who played with Legos, still having a fasination with them today, which is a reason I enjoy a good transformation, because I enjoy seeing how people are able to make something work, while still trying to accomplish the same thing (ie MS-01, TE-01, MP-44). So pushing TF figures for more articulation is something I hope continues. (TW F09 Freedom Leader looks really good compared to the 3A version)

I have a second TE coming and also just picked up the metallic ms prime. Looking forward to comparing the 2. Mp44 is out for me unless they made a ko, sorry to say. I can see why people love his look and articulation but, in my minds eye, I remember prime looking more like TE's version.

Yes, but for some (not all) the added articulation is not an acceptable trade off - particularly where a figure has all the articulation required for posing in those peoples displays. However, that doesnt mean that those same people wont want the figure to transform, and the great looking truck mode of TE was something that helped me choose.
Personally i would like to see Takara strive for better articulation with no break up of sculpt or other trade off.
Plus points to MS in this - im just not a fan of the look/style MS were going for, which is a purely subjective and personal opinion matter.
I would also add that some legends class figures use mostly joint types that most would not find acceptable in larger figures - e.g. ball joints.

All that said, if transform element hadnt happened i would have probably bought MP44 and been happy enough (price and horrible QC issues aside, which as i have posted about before i put on the doorstep of takara, not the figure as they clearly could have been resolved without massive redesign) - i just saw something in TE01 that made me much happier (and had watched enough reviews of to know the articulation was over what i needed or would use). After all, with no better alternative seen, TT bumblebee is on preorder - it ticks enough of what i want but the back pack is less than ideal, even if i can accept it at the figures size.

I agree. MP44’s ability to “outpose” doesn’t make up for his aesthetic minuses, i.e. panels, gaps, no heel, back pack, and overall busy look.

I’m okay with the amazing robot/alt mode compromise that may limit articulation.

If all 3 are possible, fine. But not a necessity to me.

They should make a down vote for this. Yea, TE01 isn't as gumby flexible as MP44.. but it's not a stick figure scare crow.. it has range and can pull off some pretty dynamic poses.
this thread has tons of proof of that.

Note that I know TE-01 is not a stick, people were just talking about how it isn't as posable as the other two.

TE poses just fine for me and how I setup my figs. I never understood people that pose their figure in crazy poses that 1. I've never seen them do in the show. 2. would make someone, even a machine completely off balance for fighting or shooting.

Dude, I remembered how you struggled about finding a way to buy MP-44. You managed that and TE-01. Well done that you could accomplish that goal. Keep it up.
