This is so weird. Hooray I guess? As much as I love the mold and the reference, this doesn't really scream must own to me the way that Convo Bat did.

 

Honestly for me this is a dream come true. It may not be clever but a lovely and long overdue homage and it's something I've pined for for years now and I'm glad that after all this time TakaraTomy didn't forget. It's actually odd to see them doing a Diaclone homage with a Classics mold since that's been so strictly FunPub aside from Crosscut. Sad and happy to see Ehobby already says it's sold out but I intend to make this mine. I'm curious if we'll see any other Diaclone homages in this manner. Deepcover would be nice.

Pun intended? And the answer is: You need THIS version of Classics Prime. Having seven of them already ain't stopping me.

Probably not as great with Dia Commander at least. That one deco matches to Henkei Covoy. I have it on United Black Optimus and it looks good on him but part of the reason for that is the truck kibble has the same stripes as the Henkei one had and Dia Commander's guantlets have matching stripes. I also feel like this one's a brighter blue but who knows how it'll be in person.

It's the most often forgotten element too. This year may as well be the year of Powered Convoy. We have this, MP Delta Magnus, and on top of that Hasbro did the Warrior and Legion RID Optimus redeco that also resembled the cab. It's quite likely the Generations Leader mold will get a redeco and slight retool as Delta Magnus as well. It's a dream for me.

 

Finally. I've wanted this for years. Now, I just need a classics blue Bluestreak.

I think that site shows "sold out" when they want to add it to the website, but they aren't ready to open it up for orders yet.

I must say that I'm slightly disappointed when I read "Magna Convoy", thinking it could be something from Micron Legends series...

And then I saw this blue Convoy which is so overdue. Well, I don't have a blue Classics Optimus Prime/Convoy & I'm sure I can fit him into my existing collection.  

 

Well maybe Magna Convoy can be the name of Delta Magnus' cab robot form?

Agreed. I didn't throw out my Magnus repaint of Classics Prime, nor did I pitch out the Nemesis Prime repaint. This one will go well with them. Then I'll have to chase down the Ginrai repaint.
