    So I recently picked up a "MISB" example in an auction and the box is mint. However, looking at the sides it appears to be doubletaped. Did these leave the factory like that? I don't think the box has ever been opened as the flaps of the box doesn't look frayed or bent.

    some ehobby releases back in the day did have double tapes. factory sometimes reinspect or forget to put somethings in.

    Mine is double taped. Post a picture if you can. He is definitely one of my favorite Transformers ever. The packaging and the toy is a work of art!
