Hi folks I won a junker overlord for parts for mine - UK auction and they would only take a cheque... Think you can guess where this is going I sent the cheque about 4 days ago so would have arrived. I used the contact details thing and got a number etc. Should I cancel the cheque first thing tomorrow? Its not cleared yet so should be able to catch it in time - or should I phone the seller with the number and see what they have to say? Another thing is - I was selling parts and the seller bought some - and paid by paypal - and the seller said they couldn't take payment by paypal I think I should phone the bank first thing cancel the cheque.. risk the negative (can they neg if no longer registered??) Then maybe should phone seller and let them know? They will know I've requested their details already I think What you reckon?
Yeah that latter fact about paying with Paypal but not accepting it reeks of scam by itself. Good call on the cancellation.
Well, I had a similar thing happen when I bought my G1 DVD pack(all G1 episodes). He was in China, I was here in US. After I won it, paid for it with paypal, a day or 2 later the user was no longer a registered user. Now, I didn't try and cancel the paypal until I tried to email him. In which he responded and questioned why he was no longer a register user. I even contacted ebay and they said it could of been different reasons. Anywhere from failing to pay a listing fee to selling stuff he shouldn't be. Not too long after I did get my item and all was well, he became a user again under the same name. In my opinion, before you cancel it, see if you can get a hold of him first. Just talking from experience.
I had a similar experience. After I paid, but before I got my stuff, the guy went into "non-registered" status. I contacted him and he said it was for some other reason. Sure enough, I got my stuff anyway. I say contact the guy first.
